I bought the same off of Amazon for $17. I cut a wire for 40-10m EFHW. 40m swr 1.3, 20m swr 1.6. Radio is very happy with 15m and 10m. I chased some POTA today and did fine. I guess I got lucky.
Got sent the same one from ebay with the Chinglish spelling and I cut the wire for 40 mtr's, it runs at 1/1 to 1/3 across the entire band. I love it for portable
Looks like that listing no longer exists, but there are more. Bought one from EBay and got the same item as you. I opened a case calling it counterfeit. Sellers argument was along the lines of what do you expect for the price. After a couple of refused partial refund offers, I threatened to let EBay sort it out. Got my refund in full right after that. On the plus side, I did try it out and it does work. How it compares to an original is the real question. But hey, since I ended up with it for free, I'll throw it in a go kit.
I bought the same piece of junk off Amazon. My EFHW looks exactly like yours. Windings are not correct, spelling is not correct and two of the meter antenna wire lengths are the same. At the time when I got it I did not see all these things. I was just trying to make it work. Then Amazon 30 days runs out, they won’t take it back. So I will redo the windings and hope my capacitor is what it’s supposed to be. N3EIE..
Not useless. Take it apart and redo everything. Maybe replace the toroid if rewrapping doesn't work. Or send it back because you want to support Americans doing innovative things. Honestly the shipping is probably not worth the money back unless you're proving a point.
Did you test this with an actual wire, or a resistor? I found that these types of ununs cannot be tested with a load resistor as the ground plane of the PCB affects it. I had the 100w version of this, and once I took the components off the board, it tested fine with a load resistor, but when it was assembled, the load resistor doesn't pass. As soon as I put a wire on it, it tested fine. I have one of these as well as one from qrp guys. It's been a while, but maybe I will test them again. I think the wraps are correct, but not spaced out. I have wire wrapped over my qrp guys so I can't count them at the moment.
It's a Chinese knock off the seller knows they are junk, like you I got dupped. Unslolder the Toroid unwrap it and rewind to 49/1 specs and if your careful reuse the wire.

Mine works. Guess I got lucky.

Dang, I just checked mine - it's a No Tune Eed Half Wava Antenna also :(

Same here! "Eed Half Wava"! Wow, never noticed but never used it :(

Hope your feeling better
Wow... I have one that is almost identical. I'll probably pull the toroid off and rewrap it to see if I can salvage it.
Dang, now I gotta look at mine.
