I'm starting to think small scale agriculture isn't the path to becoming a billionaire.
good series, making fields into one will increase production....having that extra cut width for grass is a big time saver until you can get the Big M mower and having the swath dropping as you go available
those little section of grass not cut has really been bothering me, thank you for doublin back. I love this series, genuinely look forward to every episode keep it coming!!!
Glad you mentioned testing the renewables farm, your series kind of inspired me to start a series where I did just what you said you did in your test and I got to the point where I was making like 250k a month in renewables and I was like..... "Damn this is boring I wouldn't watch this video" and deleted the footage as well. Props to you for being able to keep up the commentary and keep it entertaining, I know some of it is editing but It's hard to keep talking to yourself while running AI Workers and mowing grass and not have it turn into "uhhh put this guy here and get him going and...... uhhh." Great job.
If you take a big baling contract, u can store the bales in your own building. Then cancel the contract n u will earn a whole bunch more money

You get a large financial penalty for that so doesn't really work out that way.
Love the series, I’m always looking for the next video drop. I have 2 suggestions, first I think you should consider a minimum time scale that you can’t go under, maybe 5x or 6x, just to keep it moving. These last few videos time is essentially frozen, I don’t think an hour passed in this one. Second, as harvesting time approaches you should try out the field flipping strategy, especially if the field has a crop for the oil mill. Keep up the good work.
I’ve been really enjoying the series! I don’t farm IRL or even own the game but it’s so satisfying to watch you play. I don’t think I would be able to make a billion dollars if I did have it. Keep the videos coming! I can’t wait to see more!
you should hold off on windrowing and baling until you've cut the grass a 2-3 times to save time
Pretty sure the grass deteriorates in fs22 but it might just only be straw that does or a mod
Loving this series so far Pickle! A billion dollars is a tough target to hit without the assistance of hundreds of power generators though 🤣 One thing you could consider, feed sheep the grass, grass produce wool, turn it into fabric and then maybe clothes and your margins should increase quite a bit. Oil production is also a good choice 😉

You should plow up all the garbage grass I guess I'll call it the grass you can paint on and then replant it with good grass that way you can get a better yield because you can fertilize it and roll it and also it will let you hire a worker to do the fields as you do them

Hey Pickle you could try out Olives to diversify your field work one year, try the cheap grapes and olives mod as I think the game makes it way too expensive to plant the orchards :) great videos as always 🙏

what you should do is have papa pickle join you in the server at times like when you harvest and cut hay.

if you get the precision farming dlc (free) and build one of the 2 buildings with gps, the ai workers are much smarter/faster.
Since you hate using a tedder, you can still make hay without having to tedd a whole field.
Cut and windrow as normal, and scoop it all up with a forage wagon. Dump the wagon loads in a big pile in a clear space.
Since the game makes no distinct between rows and piles, you can grab even a fairly small tedder and just touch the grass pile with it and instantly turn a huge amount of grass into hay. Bale it up and done.
Doing this means tedding only adds a minute or less to the overall time.
A bit exploity, yea, but ah well. It gets ya hay.

Plow the area between both fields and plant it with grass. Then the AI will windrow it as one field.
Love the series. Question with the mower is is not able to swivel to the left to make it easier to catch the edge?

You should plow or cultivate that first field to make them connected
