I'm not an environmental fanatic, so would only look at the environmental aspects, as a plus, if it fulfilled my primary need of multiple, large, wide-open interior and exterior living, social, activity and recreational spaces, very close proximity to a metro, train, or bus station, close proximity to a university town, and, wherever possible, views of and access to a river, city, lake, or ocean.
Energy efficiency, that is good insulation and natural lighting and heating would be a plus. Self sufficiency in power generation, that is solar, wind, hydel, geothermal, nuclear or other power generating capacity would also be a plus. Biodegradability would be a disgusting feature that would junk every dimension to aesthetics and class, so I would staunchly oppose that.
Why is this house black? Is the place cold? Dark colors absorb heat, but since wood is neither a good conductor nor a good storage material with a high thermal mass, why the blend of wood and black paint for the exterior? Wood makes sense for some of the floors and walls in the interior, but not in the exterior.
This house has inadequate exterior and interior space, for me, and is too remote.
The girls are quite pretty. Would love to date them someday, and both ensemble.
Thank you Fine & Country for supporting pride month 🏳️🌈
Joes got big feet!
A very inspirng and slich presentation but, despite the number of times "eco home" was mentioned, there is hardly anything in the video that explains why this house can claim to be an eco home.
Thank you for your comment Charlie, we appreciate your feedback. The home has a quality integrated kitchen with appliances for low energy and longevity as well as an air source heat pump supplying underfloor heating throughout and a mechanical venting heat recovery system circulating and cleaning the air. Enhanced insulation levels are also well above the BR Standard and the energy rating is B.
@@FineAndCountryHomes Thank you for this information. Yes, this house can quite rightly claim to be an "eco house". I reckon you should have included this in your video to counter some of the comments I have read about "false" eco credentials. I think the correct term is "green washing".
@@Charlie59668 They DID include it. (7:28)
Who scripted this nonsense. Carbon footprint reduced because the designer lives across the road, really?? I suppose the worktops were quarried in his back garden! Come on exercise your brain cells for crying out loud
Thank you for your comment, using minimal transportation to move finished furniture and other finished bespoke pieces from the workshop to the properties next door reduces the total emissions created in the process of building these wonderful homes significantly.
So he grows his own trees and creates his own pieces by cutting them down! Come on 🙄
Yes I have considered an eco home. But this ain’t it. Wood flooring is not eco friendly. How is chopping down oak trees green? Stop being hypocrites
