Thanks Ron. The only issue to solve is making the frequency potentiometer to work on its complete (all-round or all around) carbon layer range, where it has to work c.q. give out a certain voltage in the 0 Volt up to 4 Volt range to pin 9 of the Chip. But of course with a certain "spreading", because otherwise we can not set that oscillator to a precise frequency. Many options are there to do that, you will surely know that. Say by using 2 potentiometers, one for the coarse and one for the fine regulation. Has also a lot to do by using logarithmic or linear potentiometers (!). Anyway: I will think about it and always search for solutions (like you know) that are simple and can be used by everyone interested in electronics. Say perhaps by combining potmeters, log & lin, etc.18 dec. 2023.

Good development process of the square wave oscillator. It must take a lot of time and patience for such a work!

True and it is not yet finished, at least trying to make a smooth freq. potmeter for all the freq. bands. Though the solution for that is simple, at least when using 2 potmeters, one for coarse and 1 for fine tuning. But I want to avoid that, keeping it as simple as possible @@perttisalonen850 19 dec 2023

Yes, it needs a lot of time. Anyway: the def. solution that I aim on is only use 1 pot. meter for all the frequency bands. Tuning could be easier (= much more precise) by using 1 potmeter for coarse and 1 potmeter for fine tuning. Perhaps that will work out that way, in this circuit. Could be that I need that solution. Needs more tests. Anyway, like you know, I want my YT electronic circuits as simple as possible, so that everyone can take profit. Thanks. Ko, 19 dec. 2023.

It would be nice if you could do a project using the whole chip since it's such a nice integrated circuit

OK, yes, I use it now only as a VCO. But you can do your own experiments, it is a chip (like I told) that was published at first in the 1970's. Only costs say 1 Euro in the Netherlands or Germany. Publish your experimental results on your YT Channel, everyone will be interested, UA-cam is a social medium, keep it in mind. 18 dec. 2023.
