Great video, and I found it very interesting and informative. On the music copyright I thought that you could do shorts without any problems but after taking down most of my videos I have started to try and make my own music and I have noticed classical music and certain old music seems to be o.k. as always thankyou for sharing your knowledge and experiments thumbs 👍 😊😊😊
Thanks, yes, I have also considered that. I have a "Music machine" (software) that works on Win 98, and it still works very well. I think I am going to use it. Thanks again!
Not boring. For my outdoor solar lights, I replaced the 300 mah AA cell with a 600 mah cell and changed the original solar cell with one 30% larger. The light stays on all night without any dimming.
One way to get higher Voltage might be to use a toroidal step-up transformer with a winding for the chip and another winding with more turns for the output. You will get higher voltage but lower current.
Not boring at all. Speech radio doesn't tend to attract copyright strikes, so maybe some BBC Radio 4 or from the shortwave Chinese stations.... their music would probably be OK too.
Nice experiments Ko. Would it be possible to use 2x YX8018 in series ? The input in series and powered with 2,5a3V (2x 1,25a1,5V) and outputs in series to double the power ? Grtz
Made some fun little keychain torches with this chip a while back, I'll upload a short clip :) good video!

@radiofun232 yes it helps when you need to demonstrate things and also is good to block out road noise ect.

Thanks Barry, good result! Also important info for everyone, to do such a replacement. Like you know I am/was always busy with these solar lamps...

I don't know...It could be tested, interesting idea!
