DT466E Straight pipe cold start

IC CE 300 DT466E Egr series
The bus has sat a week and a half
dead batteries
and before I get comments about I shouldn't Rev that bus like that. Well I'm here to tell you it wasn't me. Once it caught the engine Revved itself up to stay running. again wasn't me.

It’s a 7.6L in-line 6… so yea..

Sounds like a 5.9 Cummins in a second gen ram

I think a Maxxforce DT would sound about the same since the size and block of the engine never changed.

Not surprising the motor revved out like that of its own accord. Mine did the same once with the VT365.

Was that a limiter it hit when it went past 2k rpm?

Yeah. Neutral limiter. It'll rev higher in gear

They're limited to either 2700 or 2750, it might've hit it but the gauge might have not kept up
