I've learned a lot by watching your videos, the most important of which is what shoes not to buy. I do wonder if a tent repair kit might help in patching up the toes of your shoes at least on a temporary basis though as they typically use similar adhesives.
It's a tough trade-off and terrain dependent. Excess moisture and rocky conditions shortened the longevity. I used shoe goo on my first pair Peregrine 11s in Maine on the AT but the mid sole tears weren't ever a reason for replacement. My shoe failures all involved the sole breaking down and losing tread after around 400 miles on average.
Left Enright, take a look at the Danner 2650s. A hiking shoe, light yet good protection and vibram sole.

@5:15 Aardvark with wings
OOOooo. Yes! That looks spot on! Forgot those existed 😆 thanks
They aren't exactly Colorado natives, so I'm sure Aardvarks forgive your oversight.
It's not dumping snow in Colorado right now?!
Glad to be reliving this summer and thinking about warm sunshine.
Maybe a new career as a cowboy or cattle rustler????
..or a clown in the bull riding ring 🤡
