The beauty of this trail is amazing. So many views are like a painting or a postcard. It's very enjoyable to hear your appreciation of the views and your editing is great. Did you experience lightning in the afternoons? I thought that was pretty common out there in the Rockies. I probably haven't seen every episode in this series but I don't recall you guys needing to shelter from lightning.
Incredible beauty! Thanks for sharing.
So glad to treat others to a virtual trip thru Colorado! You are welcome.
The weminuche truly is gorgeous
Walking on top of the world.

There were 4 big avalanches all in the same year on the Elk Creek down hill section. It took a couple of years to clear the trail.
I was blown away by the scale of the destruction and glad trail volunteers helped to clear the way for future hikers.
How does your hat stay on your pack like that without being knocked off?
Glad you asked. I carried an umbrella that I kept attached to the side of my pack..it served as an impromptu 'coat rack'.
Gorgeous? Apart from the nice view of the mountains, it's a barren wasteland. Meh.
You seem nice.
One's trash is another's treasure..I guess it's a matter of perspective.
