It's crazy watching this today. It legitimately feels like a proper period setting historical report rather than something fun to document a recent war.
I'm glad to hear that! I also made a documentary on War 19 that I think blows this War 8 recap out the water ua-cam.com/play/PLAer-CAcHBmpSbiC78kSq5HnmpGF0HdDk.html ~and another project in the works i hope you'll enjoy~
Fantastic work! The visuals are clean, the stories are clear, the humor is the right level of campy and clever, and the atmosphere is perfect. The community should be proud!
If you haven't yet, check out my documentary on War 19, the largest war by far in terms of casualties with 1.7 million dead - more than five times War 8! ua-cam.com/video/ODYtAa7Zi_w/v-deo.html It's a full, 50+ minute documentary with over 20 interviewees, so feel free to grab some popcorn and enjoy~
holy crap this was 2 years ago and this was a recap of my first time playing foxhole. I've come back to it recently. I was one of the wardens defending brackish point. I spent half the time defending it from night-raids by colonial players with sapping charges. Fighting house to house with bayonets.
Twas quainter times then. If you enjoyed this, I made a 3-part documentary on 19! (ua-cam.com/play/PLAer-CAcHBmpSbiC78kSq5HnmpGF0HdDk.html) - and the guys at PressCorps are currently making one on 75 *wink*
@@GBhistory_PH I watched the one on 19 before this one actually. Lol Interesting times that I was never there for. I think I first played somewhere around war 60-ish, stopped because it was angering me because I was too dumb to understand anything, saw a funny Foxhole clip later, came back during the last week and half of war 75. I saw a lot of things in that short time.
Let me know if you need help with the edits... This took a lot of time but from my point of view it was well worth it. (Let's hope devs will feature it in the Community Highlights)
this was my first war actually, my first battle was attacking brackish point from the north star. it did not go well, as we got cut off and surrounded, then slowly crushed for 20 minutes.
I guess you'll be disappointed to find out that this was just a one-time thing :/ But don't worry, PressCorps has a WC10 newsreel currently in the works - this video takes inspiration from his WC6 one, found here: ua-cam.com/video/yTvkhrxjUZI/v-deo.html
While there is no 'high command' mechanically built into the game, there are player-operated 'clans' that organize themselves, some more on the lax side, others with a full-blown command structure. Some take it one step further and form a multi-clan group, like the Colonial Syndicate and The Warden Axis. There certainly is a strategic element. For example, around 12 hours ago, when the 82DK clan advanced into Umbral Wildwood, they first sent their elite 'Death Riders' to secure the bridges and block any Colonial counterattack. They then shelled the town of Foundry while the CAW clan went around and captured the town of GoldenRoot Ranch. This region had not been contested before, so the Colonials had to divert resources and manpower from the Farranac Coast and Deadlands regions to keep them from taking everything, which allowed the rest of the Wardens to take both those regions. If you're thinking of buying it, I would definitely recommend it. It's one of the best Early Access games out there.
There was alot of trolls and side switching that messed with people.. so that is why logi got screwed up. I sen alot of people dedicated to nothing but logi on the warden's but getting screwed over by various things.
Yeah I don’t think that was meant to be british, he’s trying to mimic old-timey-western WW1 propaganda and news programs. It just so happens he isn’t English so he’s try harding.

@@GBhistory_PH oh yes please, no one does these as well as you do
''To celebrate the colonials killed each other, feed some duck, and went home the next day.''
Whoa, guess war never changes.
"Who will win and break the -- It was Wardens... they steamrolled it." xD my favorite part
to be fair, the eighth war really burned out the colonials.
legoking907 I can see why. It was a constant tug-of-war throughout the whole thing. Hence being the longest War so far in Foxhole history
*Finnish Polkka plays* There’s another faction?
I haven't played this game but i feel like people should say "Down with their folly! Death to the Collies!"
Fantastic work! The visuals are clean, the stories are clear, the humor is the right level of campy and clever, and the atmosphere is perfect. The community should be proud!
We need more documentaries like this. So much glorious internet war history is going unrecorded and forgotten.
Plus I really liked the format.

Wow so this is what the map looked like damn
This looks so strange with such a small map
This and your war 19 documentary are your best works. Please recap more wars. This is great content.
“Penetrate” and “Shredding” is all I heard . Oh wait I missed “killed each other” and “fed the ducks”
Mooring county was a blood bath

dude this was awesome make more of these
Watching this now, and that new vehicle is still not introduced lol (not the naval one but the other one)
I'd love to see one of these for War 10. A really dynamic war with some interesting moves on both sides.
Ah, PressCorps' got War 10 covered - if you haven't seen his newsreel on War 6 (ua-cam.com/video/yTvkhrxjUZI/v-deo.html), check it out!
1:32 Lmao they pull out a Battle of the Isonzo all over again
I took part in this war..It was legendary.
I like the visualization, you should make one for WC9 & WC10!
This is amazing. Liked and subbed. I haven't played Foxhole in a long time but this got me back into it.
The lead up to becoming a fully fledged news reporter or documentary director! Good luck on your future kabayan!!!
Lmao newest war had litteraly almost 1 million causalties
Happy to hear that the game's active playerbase has grown!
Longest war so far and 340k casualties?
Then 19 happened, and then 75.
Twas quainter times then.

War 83: longest war with 36 Days and more than 4 million casualties on both sides.
One of the greatest foxhole wars I’ve ever fought in.

Wish there were more documentaries like this on more recent wars like 110

Good job man managed to make something great out of it
This deserves more likes. And more views.
This is so good xD. There needs to be more of this
This is really good editing

Is there a strategic element? is there a high command for both sides?

Only 340,000? We're at 900k on the current one rn lmao
Shard 2*
Simpler times. Hey, 19 got 1.7 million casualties which only got topped in a war in the 70s.
@@GBhistory_PH Well war 80 is def approaching that number, I'll say that
How did you animate the green/blue areas moving?
Cooltrain
Masking and keyframes are your friend, though time-consuming.
I remember this I think
There was alot of trolls and side switching that messed with people.. so that is why logi got screwed up. I sen alot of people dedicated to nothing but logi on the warden's but getting screwed over by various things.
Very nice
DARN SPOILERS AT THE END!!! Hahaha!!! xD
make more
Nice

Awful british accent cringe
I...wasn't trying to do a british accent?
Right. Of course that was just your normal voice.
Shoot. You got me.
But in all seriousness, English isn't my native language, I'm just trying to do a 'reporter' voice as best I can.
If you did watch some wwii documentaries, you’ll hear many reporter speaking like this .
Yeah I don’t think that was meant to be british, he’s trying to mimic old-timey-western WW1 propaganda and news programs. It just so happens he isn’t English so he’s try harding.
