Absolutely, positively gorgeous. Proves that a small choir and orchestra can rival the best. I live in St. Louis MO, USA, and have been blessed to hear the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, many many times. You're right up there with them. Your performance brought me to tears (of joy)
I was surprised to see this church is in Singapore. You have a fine music program. We sang this at our old church in Colorado. I miss that kind of music. Most won't put forth this kind of effort. Contemporary styled music focuses more on the singer than the savior. Our churches should not be a place to cultivate the next American Idol star.
I too would love to get the orchestral score. This is my all time favorite worship hymn. We sang it at my wedding just after my brother walked me down the aisle and I joined hands with my soon-to-be husband. We sing it a little faster. This was a good version. Most of the on-line versions I'm hearing are very slow, meant to be reverential, but it is a joyous thing to sing a bit faster. We sang this in my old congregation with pipe organ and grand piano and the entire choir and congregation singing their hearts out. Filled the temple (Baptist church) with praise, a foretaste of Heaven :) Could you guide me to the orchestral score, please? Thank you.
Jesus is precious!
Thank you! In Him be all the glory.
