- Whats up! Heres my wash & retwist routine on my locs! At this point in my loc journey I'm deciding to retwist every 4-6 weeks. Im 20 months loc'd. I hope you enjoy!!

I wish I had seen this when I first started my locs. I was so intimidated at the start to do my own retwist. Just think of the money I could have saved over the past EIGHT years. I have just started doing my own last year.

I just loc’d my hair two months ago... I was intimidated about doing my own retwist until I watched your video... Technically my hair hasn’t loc’d yet I’m going through the process. I go once a month for a retwist and I use fenugreek oil, castor oil and Wild Growth Hair Oil on my scalp. I use a Du-rag to tie my hair up and my hair stays neat for 3-4 weeks... Because my hair hasn’t loc’d yet after my retwist my locs are styled to stay protected.
I’m so glad I decided to loc my hair, this was the best decision I made in 2020!!!
I’m glad my video helped you feel more comfortable with doing your own hair. I go back and forth but it’s so nice when I can do it myself and really take the extra time to wrap my hair around my locs it makes such a difference in their appearance. Congratulations on beginning your journey!!
I had no idea what that stuff was in my daughter’s hair and I’ve been driving myself crazy trying to wash it out 😂 no one else has ever explained this in their videos. Thank you!!

Yess! I love seeing locs up close 🙌🏽✨. Just SUBSCRIBED. I use the same technique when I retwist, wrapping the loose hair around the loc definitely makes a difference.

Gorgeous locs. I do my conditioner the same way but I mix water into the entire bottle. Never thought to separate it. I used to use hello hydration on my loose curls and loved. Looks like I’ll have to buy some

Yes it takes longer but super easy! I went to a loctition my first year because I just wanted that reassurance they were forming properly but after that I began to maintain myself.

I started loc journey 11/1. I got my starters done at a salon. But I want to learn to resist myself. Beautiful locs!
Its pretty easy! in the beginning I went to someone because I wanted guidance and to make sure they were forming properly.

I’m dead at passively-aggressively talk me out of locs 😂 lol thank you!! Yes you have to do what’s right for YOU. One of the main people that tried to tell me I shouldn’t get them is the main person telling me how beautiful they are and how she’s considering them for herself 🙄 lol

More water = less product. Saturating your locs a little more really helps.
Heyyyyy. I had started my locs in November of last year and I just have an question. When you retwist your loc, do I have to retwist left or right before putting the clip in and another question lol, umm... Did you get the product you use from any beauty supply store?
I retwist right but that just depends on which way you’ve always retwisted you don’t want to go back and forth. I order it online only.
When you retwist, do you always go to the ends?
Carla M. The longer I have my locs I don’t really have to as much because they aren’t as frizzy the more mature they get.

about how long did your retwist take? I am one month into my loc journey and did my first retwist yesterday and it took SO long! I think we have around the same amount of locs so I was just wondering :) I love your videos btw! :)
lol long! like 4 hours lol but ill twist down my loc so its a whole mission
hopefully you still see these comments but how long does it take for you to twist? I think you might be the first person I've seen that has a ton of locs like me.
When I’m trying to get my parts real clean and I use clips about 5 hours. If I’m using a hair tye and just use my fingers and don’t obsess over the parts 2 and a 1/2.

Thank you!! Yes I used a rat tail comb with the skinny metal end to part.

Thank you!!! About 4-5 hours I take my time lol but that’s also because I wrap my frizzy hair going down the loc because my locs aren’t as mature but when I don’t it only takes me like 2 and a 1/2 hours.
