I find it kind of strange how Kaz was so butt-hurt at the end of MGS 5. Sure, he was left out of the loop for the larger plan, but he wasn't necessarily betrayed or usurped. Honestly, I think he should be grateful. He survived a helicopter crash that nearly killed him, and he pretty much has the highest rank at Diamond Dogs only under BB and probably Ocelot. And tbh, Big Boss would have had every right to kill him right after explaining what he told him at 1:04.
Three years later, but it's not that he was hurt because he was left out, was more the idea behind of Outer Heaven ideology of all the opposite of Kaz's dream of war economy and the whole thing they were building with Big Boss, so he felt His dream was used and ditchet
Actually naked not solid. Solidnand liquid is a clone. And then venom. Lol haha. Thats why naked sent solid snake to outer heaven. To be captured by venom or be killed but the opposite happened. Solid snake killed venom snake. So solid and liquid fight. Then liquid died so at the end of mgs4 its just solid and naked snake. Naked snake is the real bigg boss. Geez. What pretentious fan
I think this is the point where big boss stopped trusting kaz and just made his own plan of building outer haven. Cus we see in phantom pain he just went on his own route without telling kaz anything
Zero921000 Theres still the possibility of David Hayter returning if Kojima chooses to remake the two original metal gear games that predate the first MGS
I just really hope at the end of MGSV we get to see Big Boss talking to Snake: maybe before he receives his codename (remember, his birth name is David). I'd love to see Big Boss talking with a Snake who's using Hayter's voice as he receives his codename in FOXHOUND, but that's just me.
Maybe so. but after so many games with the same damn voice, it gets to be a bit grating. Also david hayter snake just tends to make my mind snap to how much I hate solid snakes whiny ass.
Yeah, Hayter kinda sucked on PW, but it wasn't his fault. They told him to sound like Old Snake, and obviously he had to make it a bit different from Big Boss and Snake. It's just sad that he got dumped just like that afterwards, like it's his fault (which isn't)
I don't think he really got dumped. If a future game is going to have Big Boss meet Solid Snake, they will each need to have their own voice. And we all know Hayter is snake.
***** By future game, you mean the original Metal Gear games( 1 & 2) but remakes. But Richard Doyle did such a good job as Big Boss in the graveyard scene of MGS4.
He did. But was Big Boss that old in Metal Gear 1? Additionally, I think he should sound a bit younger and sharper. Richard Doyle sounded like a father figure more than a nemesis.
I just realized that Big Boss’ question about “can we live to see the 21st century” turned out to be answered “no”. Because he “dies” on December 25th, 1999. Just a week before the 21st century.
David Hayter will always be Snake. Why couldn't they of just gotten Kurt Russel to voice snake anyway? Snakes character is based 90% on The Escape From series.
People forgetting the fact that Kaz kept lying to Big Boss over and over, with Boss accepting it and moving on towards their goal. But Boss keeps info from Kaz once in mgsv, and Kaz has a fit and turns his back. He was a self serving leech the whole time.
I also think Kojima did it this way specifically for that reason. I've never thought of Big Boss and Solid Snake as the same person and I was actually disappointed when Metal Gear Solid 3 came out and they had the same voice. I was even disappointed when I saw he would wear a bandana. Those are things that were unique to Solid Snake and somehow both of their characters felt diminished because of the cross referencing.
Mark Rodriguez I think it makes sense for Hayter to voice BB in Snake Eater. Think about it, they are both the same age and Snake is mostly an exact clone. They should have the same voice. I can understand 3, but I don't know why they made him sound the exact same in Peace Walker 10 years later.
If they destroyed your entire base and killed all your men, After that chop off your leg and arm and apart from that knowing Big boss leaves you with phantom. I would not be smiling and dancing belive me, He's just full of hatred of all the bull that has Happend to him.
Im mad with mgs4, Boss at the end talking about Ocelot, the Patriots, Naomi, Even Liquid and the boss. But why since mgs1 is Miller not named or something? He's the third or second most important character in MG HISTORY.
cause he's a traitor fuck that used big boss many times and then was his "son" mentor to fuck him over but liquid killed, and i think they also sort of forgot him at one point or big boss didn't want to mention him due to their past
Miller got his role in MG saga after Peace Walker. Before PW he was mentioned only in MGS1. That is why he wasn`t mentioned in any MGS game before PW but MGS1
Miller was already in Portable ops. That's where they first met and also Campbell. The game is even before mgs4. The reason why Miller became irrelevant after his death is probably because he left the whole business after going back to foxhound. After MGS GZ his whole purpose was always revenge driven and I doubt he can maintain it for so long since he's not much of a soldier anymore with his body. And everytime the object of his revenge die, he will be left again with phantom pain that at some point his motivation will just die along through time. He even somehow started a family and a daughter was once mentioned in one of the games. He's just like Huey who never really ratted out the DD or MSF but just went along with life and somehow his past sins haunted him in the present.
"This mercenary business we've built, someday, it's going to be a new driving force in the world economy." "Snake, before I think we should invest in this company called Apple, it'll be huge!" "Speaking of books and movies, comic books will grow into a pop culture phenomenon and make over a billion dollars." "Iran will hold American embassy workers hostage and it will seriously harm US-Iran relations for years." "And lastly, MSF will NOT be destroyed by a shriveled up cowboy and convince Huey to betray us and we'll be the bestest mercenary band for ever and ever... Kaz has spoken!" Good ol' MSF, where you actually get to play as the real Big Boss 😑. I just wish David Hayter didn't get so raspy and the end of his run. He was great in my opinion in 1 & 2. Didn't sound so forced.
I've never played peace walker. It makes sense now y snake had to assign a body double to take his place in V. He was a target. They had to ensure his survival being the head of diamond dogs who they all revered. Still kinda messed up making somebody live your life.
Punished Fernando but in V, big boss said on the "the man who sold the world" tape at the end "now you know who you really are" which would mean big boss know initially that venom snake did not know he was not truly big boss. Venom snake went through psychotherapy to believe he was big boss. I don't think big boss beloved venom snake agreed to be big boss. He was in a coma. I think big boss took advantage of the situation.
@@coreydavis9546 But that has a double meaning, that could mean that he still was under the impression that the Medic consented to the whole thing, but that tape was to re explain it all back to him when his time had come. He underwent heavy amounts of psychotherapy and brainwashing to make him believe he was Big Boss, but the real Big Boss still may not have been informed that the Medic didn't consent to the process.
Metal Gear Solid 3 Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Metal Gear Metal Gear 2 Metal Gear Solid Metal Gear Solid 2 Metal Gear Solid 4 Metal Gear Rising Revengeance That's the chronology of the series.
***** I didn't list AC!D because unlike Rising, they are spinoffs that take place outside of the timeline. And your "plant chapter is optional chapter" physically hurts me. By that same logic Max Payne leapt off a building to his death and that counts as canon because the player can do it if they're a shithead.
***** The first AC!D game stars Snake with Pliskin hair taking orders from a character nobody hears from in any other game and who has no backstory. AC!D2 features a man brainwashed to be Snake. Both are 100% noncanon, not just semi-canon as is the case with Portable Ops. The core story of PO is canon, but AC!D has no place in the timeline whatsoever.

Code talkers is the old man right? I haven't finish MGS5 yet since I keep doing side ops. I heard that even Huey warn venom about miller

Davif Hayter for Solid Snake
Kiefer Sutherland for Big Boss
it fits perfect !
Baker Salahat YES!
What? Like when he say, I gotta need back for this, doesnt sound good. I wish it would but no.
+Baker Salahat Not really.. Bigboss is already established! If not then probably but I would prefer david or doyle.
Since MGS3 is already made and peace walker, it is reasonable to bring david back.
+Baker Salahat so solid snake became big boss? and didn't Peace Walker come Before Snake Eater so how does he still have the eye patch.(started playing since Snake Eater that's y)
cause when he was tortured his eye was shot, AND THAT CAME AFTER PEACE WALKER( am i wrong?)
Scary this scene serves as a turning point of Big Boss become anti-villain
THEY ARE GONNA PLAY YOU LIKE A GODDAMN FIDDLE!
Sutherland does a more "convincing" Big Boss
while David does Solid the best
Actually naked not solid. Solidnand liquid is a clone. And then venom. Lol haha. Thats why naked sent solid snake to outer heaven. To be captured by venom or be killed but the opposite happened. Solid snake killed venom snake. So solid and liquid fight. Then liquid died so at the end of mgs4 its just solid and naked snake. Naked snake is the real bigg boss. Geez. What pretentious fan
Agreed!
I love this voice of big boss i grew up with this and i will never forget it.
I think this is the point where big boss stopped trusting kaz and just made his own plan of building outer haven. Cus we see in phantom pain he just went on his own route without telling kaz anything
Anyone elsse notice that trickling synthesizer at 4:23, reminiscent of MGS1's main theme. Foreshadowing, I love it. :)
snake sounds like he ate a bowl of rusty nails without any milk
Man am I gonna miss Hayter as Big Boss.
Maybe to return as Solid Snake. Probably mainly at the end of The Phantom Pain. Let's hope that happens.
Zero921000 Theres still the possibility of David Hayter returning if Kojima chooses to remake the two original metal gear games that predate the first MGS
Yeah, I think Kojima might remake them again cuz fans want to play as Solid Snake again because mainly we played as Naked Snake/Big Boss.
and raiden for at least 1 game if you dont count metal gear rising
I just really hope at the end of MGSV we get to see Big Boss talking to Snake: maybe before he receives his codename (remember, his birth name is David). I'd love to see Big Boss talking with a Snake who's using Hayter's voice as he receives his codename in FOXHOUND, but that's just me.
Kaz just told Big Boss the events of MGS2-4...in a minute.
Oh boy, listening to this stuff makes me appreciate the gruff old man voice Kiefer Sutherland brings.
Maybe so. but after so many games with the same damn voice, it gets to be a bit grating. Also david hayter snake just tends to make my mind snap to how much I hate solid snakes whiny ass.
Bigjoe980's game corner solid snakes whiny ass ??? when did he whine about himself ? never man
Abosolutely true, Venom just didn't talk enough at all... Sucks, since Keifer Sutherland basically has the perfect gruff old man voice for it.
yeah i keep getting hung up on the crackles in this
You realize the directors told Hayter to play snake like this in PW, right?
***** Well, after that CQC Hug, he better be a father figure.
dilydaly123 I meant he should sound a bit younger and sharper in a MG1 remake, as the main antagonist.
The entire budget of this game went into this 1 scene.
And it looks fucking great for a psp game, especially the hd version.
Kaz: “She was a triple agent.”
Ocelot: “pft… Amateur.”
Zero: what did you say?
Ocelot: James Bond is great
Zero: that's my boy
2:13 And boy oh boy how damn right he was ...
It’s insane how mgs is such a well known series and this hasn’t broken a million views in 12 years
The MGS series is a case study on the military-industrial complex, and it's simply brilliant.
The theme of this whole game and phantom pain was literally big boss and Kaz starting the war economy which later plagues the world as we say in mgs4
Perhaps this is the moment when Big Boss thinks Kaz is no longer relevant to their insurrection
I just realized that Big Boss’ question about “can we live to see the 21st century” turned out to be answered “no”. Because he “dies” on December 25th, 1999. Just a week before the 21st century.
The XXI century began on 1/1/2001 and ends on 31/12/2100.
he didnt die until 2014...
Kinda prophetic, this is happening today
I love how in this scene alone big boss talks more then venom snake through the entirety of mgs5
I like how Snakes voice in the earlier games is sly, but then goes batman by the end of the series.
This is the true climax of Big Boss's story.
When Kaz predicts the future and its modern military industrial complex.
1:13 Big Boss: ok, I get what you are doing. We’ll take advantage of this
10 years latter: Kaz: so that’s the way jt is? - Big Boss can go to hell
And then they all got blown out of the ocean a year later
2 things that scare big boss.... vampires and journalists
I used to be pissy that David Hayter didn't voice Big Boss in Ground Zeroes but...
I think Sutherland is better as Big Boss.
BerserkerDwarf I respect your opinion. But Jack Bauer can't be Big Boss. It's just not fair. It's the same as superman being thor.
*****
My thoughts exactly!
David Hayter will always be Snake. Why couldn't they of just gotten Kurt Russel to voice snake anyway? Snakes character is based 90% on The Escape From series.
BerserkerDwarf I still thing Richard Doyle did the best Big Boss so far. Would have loved to see him back in TPP
I still think its a ruse
Say Medic!
How would you like to be in my shoes?
He looked so happy..
Till Cipher PLAYED his fiddle
People forgetting the fact that Kaz kept lying to Big Boss over and over, with Boss accepting it and moving on towards their goal. But Boss keeps info from Kaz once in mgsv, and Kaz has a fit and turns his back. He was a self serving leech the whole time.
Hayter = Solid Snake
Kiefer = Big Boss
They will meet most likely in a "Metal Gear" remake.
I think Hayter made himself clear that he wouldn't do it... even if they wanted him back.
Thomas Moseley He sounds much older in Peace Walker.
*****
How? Solid Snake is a clone of Big Boss. Hes going to have the same voice
Kaz is peace in japanese

Thank you, I've been trained in the ways of fiddling
Solid Ali speak for your fucking self.
Ocelot killed him cause he helped solid snake kill vemon snake.
@@donnellebarfield3964 Nope KAZ helped Solid into killing the real Big Boss
This is where Big Boss leaves him to create his true Outer heaven.
Well, actually i think that that happens in MGSV, when Ocelot gives Boss a motocycle and he leaves.
But this is the inception... This is where the creation of Outer Heaven begins.

The best Big Boss speech. And delivered by David Hayter.
Good ol' MSF, where you actually get to play as the real Big Boss 😑. I just wish David Hayter didn't get so raspy and the end of his run. He was great in my opinion in 1 & 2. Didn't sound so forced.

Senator Armstrong: Hold my nanomachines, son.
I've never played peace walker. It makes sense now y snake had to assign a body double to take his place in V. He was a target. They had to ensure his survival being the head of diamond dogs who they all revered. Still kinda messed up making somebody live your life.
Yes except Snake didn't assign a double it was all Zero's doing and Snake agreed to it because he thought the Medic (the double) agreed to it
Punished Fernando but in V, big boss said on the "the man who sold the world" tape at the end "now you know who you really are" which would mean big boss know initially that venom snake did not know he was not truly big boss.
I think the change in voice is a good thing. Hayter is and always will be snake, but I think a change was finally needed for Big Boss.
Big Boss almost made it to the 21st century...
But in 1999, Solid Snake stopped him.

Solid Snake I am actually DD in a disguise
so MGS V takes place after peace walker?
Metal Gear Solid 3
Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops
Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
Metal Gear
Metal Gear 2
Metal Gear Solid
Metal Gear Solid 2
Metal Gear Solid 4
Metal Gear Rising Revengeance
That's the chronology of the series.
I just realized that Solid Snake has been the main protagonist in less games than Big Boss...
***** Big Boss is the main protagonist of GZ. Solid Snake is not the main protagonist of MGS2.
War...has changed!
