Peter Kay is usually a very regional comedian, alot of his stuff is about growing up in the north of England, his family and the stuff people say.
Would give you a better understanding of a region of the UK the rest of the world doesn't get to see much.
He did a comedy TV show called Phoenix nights he plays a couple of characters in it but it's about a working mans club in the north of england and the crazy shenanigans that happen as the owner tries to build the club up among the chaos with his half baked schemes.
