MyATCtv DIY, you and your accent are so handsome.
I wish I was handy like this.. I really need a folding work table but, I'm not good with making stuff like this.
Feel free to give it a try... It's not very difficult! Look at the article we posted here www.atc-c.com/forum/in-the-garden-balcony/believe-me-you-do-need-this-workbench and feel free to ask your questions in the comments and we will try to support you as much as possible... Looking forward to read from you
Indeed your accent is handsome!
Also thanks for sharing this. I am making a small apartment sized work table/cart. You just saved me some board feet and improved my plan.
Be well, friend.
You become my favorite youtuber. I am an engineer by profession. Your approach is extremely extremely systematic unlike other youtubers (though they are good too) but what you have done differently is deciding a goal and taking logical steps one at a time from start to end and then combining all pieces at the end. That's different.....Kudos...
Hi Viren, I am very glad to read that and appreciate your message. Thanks for the support!
I've watch a bunch of these folding bench designs. This was by far the best design and most entertaining of them all.
Thanks Anthony!!! Glad that you like it and welcome to our community
There is nothing wrong with your English, great video! Thank you for sharing this
Hi there, thanks! Welcome to the community
If you put a 10 inch extension bit it will make it much easier to use your drill as a screwdriver. When you encounter situations like those wheels.
Yes, good idea!
Thanhk you for sensational idea, I'm needing a benchworking for a small space.
You are very welcome! And welcome to our community channel
Thanks
Great idea and an awesome design. Thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks for watching!
Loved your step by step build! The different ways you can manipulate the hinges from your design is what I liked the best!
Thanks and it's my pleasure to share with you! Hope that you like the rest too?
No entiendo tu idioma ...pero x eso está el traductor jjjjjjjjjjjjj 🤣 excelente trabajo.....lo copiaré claro con tu permiso... saludos desde Piura Perú 👍❤️🇵🇪 maestro
Muchas gracias
Excellent space-saving solution for a small workshop
Thank you very much! Glad that you like it and welcome to our community
That tri-color work top messed with my head for a second. Nice work on the workbench.
benefit thirteen thanks!
I've been looking for a starter work bench as space is limited and your well thought out plan is at the top of my list. Great work!
Thanks, I really apreciate your comment. Welcome to our community!
very well done friend
Thanks John! And welcome to our community. Hope you'll like what you see
I like this workbench design! good job
Thank you very much and welcome to our community
Very nice demo of how to make this folding table base! I've seen the same design all over Pinterest, and a video in which some dowels were added to the top of the legs, which would then fit into holes in the table top to keep it in place, but your instructions were better. Oh, and they also added sash window locks - you could also use the same type of latches you fitted to keep it closed - just above the central hinges to keep the long sides from folding up on you when moving it around.
Stadler le Roux thanks and welcome to the community. Very nice to have your input here! I am looking to create an improved version in the future so i will for sure use your tips. Have a nice one
Great idea! Want in its garage such a the table. This guy has Golden hands!
Hi there, I 've missed some message and just realized. Thanks for your support!
I really like how you assembled you fold up bench. Outstanding.

Thanks for sharing,, love the accent
Thank you!
Nice work. I would cut the top 2 x 4 by 1/2 in on each one. This way the work table can sit down on the side legs and keep the table from closing in on you .
nel6211 thanks, this is indeed a nice idea that i will try for the next upgrade. And welcome to our community!
I love this design and I will be using a similar design for my basement workshop and my garage workshop
Good Idea ! Welcome to The community 🙂
Nice job, my friend... very steady hands without the need of a straight edge! !
Spuds thanks and welcome to our DIY community
Great job would like to try it myself
thanks! Good luck, it's very simple to make
Great job!
Thank you! Glad that you like it and welcome to the community
Brilliant will give it a try
Thanks, feel free to download your free 3D plan if needed
Excellent - this is a great idea and is definitely a contender for the one I will use - in fact, as you say at the beginning, this goes beyond being just a shop bench - if I build a second one and spray it pink - I am pretty sure my wife would want one for her craft room :) Thanks for taking the time to share!!
Thanks Andy, always a pleasure to share those ideas with you!
Love the video keep them coming
Thanks
Great video, this is a bench that I am going to make. Thank you so much.
Thanks for watching and welcome to the community! Feel free to share your result with us
Interesting design. Woth giving it a try in my home shop. I don't have much space, and this will give me more space than I had thought about. Thanks for the design.
Your welcome Hans and welcome to our community. If you want to, you can also share your result with us via the platform. Have a nice day
Great video. I would use strap hinges where you have room, to move the screw holes away from the edge of the panels. I would epoxy the hinges to the panel, once aligned, and this would be stronger than just screws.
Good ideas will, i'll keep them for any upgrade project. Really apreciate your input here...
Excellent post!
Thanks and welcome to the community!
Awesome project! Thanks for sharing! I’ve seen similar designs but yours is the best! Thank you!!
Hi John, my pleasure to share with you. Will be very glad to see your project, feel free to share it with me via our DIY platform

This was great! You're so smart! I love your voice. Thank you for this video! Peace and blessings.
My pleasure! Thanks and welcome to our community...
Clever and nicely done. I can picture a way to put strategically placed holes in the work surface so that you can place pins through to keep the top on the base while working. :-)
Hi there, I 've missed some message and just realized. Thanks for your support!

This is a great design. I am looking forward to incorporating it into my workshop. Space is a concern and I am always looking to maximize my space.
Hi Deril, thanks! Glad that you can also use this design
Always looking to maximize space efficiency. I have only a very small amount of space to work with. Do you have any suggestions as to a carry all that I can use to organize my drill bits and other work bench essentials?
Thank you.

Thanks for this instruction video… as I’m small housed, I’m going to build thuis as a base tor my Plancha (cooking plate)…. Stil figuring out how to attach a two part top…. I’m thinking of using some 270degree hinges for the top (so when folded the top halves sit along each side….

i love it
Hi Miko, glad that you like it. Thanks and welcome to our community
Excellent design, well done sir! One thing, at 8:50, you use a hinge centering drill bit, but you remove the hinges to drill the holes, lol, which defeats the object of the centering bit.
Still an excellent design though, merci.
Good observation, did you also make it?
nice folding workbench! that is what I need because i do my projects in the balcony and if they are big or messy down in the parking yard !great job!
Takis Margaritis Kailos thanks... Always happy to share... Let us know if you need dimensions

Nice project. I'll give it a go.. Can i ask, out of curiosity, what ruler you are using? The one with the levels. It look sturdy and useful. I couldn't see the link in your infos. Thanks.
Thanks!
I really liked the bench! And the build. But he music was more a distraction that had to be endured

Thank you Mai and welcome to our community. We hope that you like what you see???
Ingenious. Thank you.
My pleasure. Enjoy making it and let us know how is it for you
Thanks for the nice video. It appears the mounting board width at 9:48 is different than the one at 10:00? You had to make an adjustment, otherwise the supports would not be flush with the frame when you collapse the bench.
Hi Peter, yes exactly! I have added the correct measurements in the 3D plan provided if needed
That’s really nice, but what sizes is?
Thanks! It was a 60cm by 60 but feel free to download the 3D plan to have the exact dimensions
Great Work !
Thanks and welcome to our community
Cool video ..thanks for that.. the side sections are very stury compared to the overall use of the design.. having wheels on a workbench is a complete pain in the arse when you're doing any work on it at all i'd say. Even if you used locking ones it would still jump around too much.. It would be far more practicle to have a system which could be actually bolted to the floor imo..
Nice suggestions. Thanks!
The point to this design is flexibility of use. In my case, this would make a great second bench that can be moved around my garage or onto the drive for times when my other bench is covered, or even I want to work outside or away from my garage. There are a number of fixed bench designs on here and as part of my overall workshop project I am looking to replace my main bench, but will almost certainly be building one of these as an additional. From the video, the material costs of this look pretty reasonable. If Wheels were a real problem, you can probably make removable feet for this bench and attach the wheels to them and then have the feet as a box around each leg. Kinda like roller skates :) !
@@andym5213 well said!
Then it defeats the purpose of the bench being “portable”. Why would you need the bench to fold if you are going to permanently attach it to the floor? There are much better bench designs for a non-portable bench. For my purposes, having limited space in my work area, this is a perfect compromise. It will be sturdy enough, but will take up very limited space when not in use. I have a couple of ideas to make it even sturdier that I will share once I make my own. Just want to be sure they work before wasting anyone’s time discussing here.
Thanks for this design. I have watched quite a few portable designs here and this is the one I have been searching for. Gives me a great place to start...and also add to. Will keep you posted.
Esta bueno 👍
Muchas gracias
Excellent!!

ty for the video. mine turned out very well.
Hi Alan, nice to hear that! Share some pictures with us
Good idea and construct of work bench that stores away when not in use. I especially like your idea of the offsetting caster wheels. The original photo on the advert for this video showed something like storage shelves on the outside ends. Is that an after thought and build to the video?
Terry Morris thanks, always a pleasure to share with you guys... In fact yes its an after thoughts, which at the end turns out a great plan. What do you think?
I like the end storage shelves.
thanks, I will be adding soon some plan with the additional design to do with it. feel free to check the upgrade 2 and 3, I think you will like them...
This is awesome .
