Have looked at a lot of videos until I found this one. This is the answer I have been looking for. Simple, concise and clearly explained! Thank you for your time and consideration.

I watched a bunch of videos while trying to get ready to do my first guide replacement. This is the ONE. I'm heading to the cellar right now to get to work. Thanks!

What a great video! Not whipped rings for 25 years but this was great for simplicity and very easy to follow. Thanks - made it a lot easier.

Thank you very much for taking the time for making this video. The ruler and straightening of the eye has not been covered in other videos I have seen again thanks.

If your using a coloured whipping thread onto a cane rod ensure your whipping threads are tight as what looks good to the naked eye faults are highlighted when it comes to applying the dope ,black on black you may not notice as much

Absolutely love your videos however I especially love your music selections. Where do you find your music for these videos?

One question.... after epoxy do you put a epoxy hardener on after or just leave epoxy bare. I've never done a rod from scratch but I've ordered all my stuff now to try my 1st one.

How do you stop the thread from the spool wrapping round the rod elsewhere when your fitting the thread to the guide? Just lost it with my rod after watching this video because it twisted and snapped the thread

calum aitchison make sure it’s D thread... the stronger type, and I found it helpful to put the spool of thread in the plastic bag but first put a nail or, what I use, a wooden cooking skewers through the spool so that the thread rolls off - like winding line on a bait cast, so there are no twists.

Do you have any suggestions for guides on a 11foot baitcasting surf rod. It's a custom pole for capecod canal
