      Just out of curiosity - what grade would you class this as? If it was an examination piece for example...

    • @ThePianoKeys
      @ThePianoKeys  7 років тому +4

      I really don't know what grade this would be. I would classify it as a late beginner piece. But of course, concert pianists also perform it, so putting a label on it doesn't serve any real purpose, in my opinion. An advanced pianist would play it in a much different way than would a less skilled pianist.

    Thanks so much for the tutorial, your channel is so great. Also I have a question, I’m having so much difficulty with my trills and I know it’s partly because I keep tensing my hand up when I do them, and I was wondering if by any chance you have any tips or tutorials that would help me improve them at all?

    • @ThePianoKeys
      @ThePianoKeys  4 роки тому +1

      When you have tension, you basically need to take your technique "apart" and build it up again by doing targeted exercises and doing them in the right way. I've had so many people who asked me similar questions that I created an entire course to help those who truly want to play well and without any pain. You can find Become a Piano Superhero on my website. Also, join my Facebook group Piano Practice Tips and see how people have transformed their playing though this course.

    When I’m doing the chromatic scale part and I’m going to the left and have to reach over my thumb with my fourth finger it’s not smooth and there is a time delay and sounds like a small pause in the music. Any tips to make it better would be appreciated. Thank you. Also for anybody new to piano like me…when you’re doing this part and going to the right, tuck your thumb under as soon as your second finger hits the key. If you wait to tuck it until after your third finger hits the key it won’t be as smooth. It’ll sound more like you’re playing three notes at a time instead of continuously. I just found that out today and thought I’d share.

    The problem comes when I try to play the trills (the very first one G F G F E F E)

    Should I play without pedal at all?
