Im sorry, i cant wait to say something about last nights episode so i am rewatching last weeks recap to comment this before you post your next recap. I am completely convinced this whole season was supposed to be aired with the last season. You know how they used to be 2 hrs and last year and this year is only 1 hour? I am pretty sure this was all supposed to be aired last season but for whatever reason they separated it. Whatever they are filming now or during covid, probably wont be aired until 2023 at this point. Geeze!

I believe Meri TOTALLY remembers having that conversation (with Janelle). I believe she doesn't express her honest opinion at this point because she has been so demoralized by Kody's negligence/disinterest and the contention/drama her words might bring, so she feels it's just better and easier to be quiet. Kind of sad.😞
Kind of part of the problem. I feel sorry for meri and no doubt she was abused. But she also abused and kept her self be used to abuse others...

Kody and Meri , never got spiritually married after their legal divorce !! They ended the relationship once those divorce papers were signed , the only time they get together is for filming and when Kody wants to milk Meri for money for the family he doesn't want her to be a part of .
She is financially being abused by him at this point and needs to run away ! Why support a man and his other families if he is absolutely repulsed by you ? Doesn't want to see or be with you ?

@@heatherg1706 True -- Meri - after the legal divorce so he could marry Robyn etc. - never had an official "spiritual wedding" with Kody --- that was a big clue that Kody did not want Meri. I think the catfish crap angered him to no end & he was done. She did officially humiliate Kody with that & he is not the kind of guy who forgives that --- even while he has 4 wives.
The fact none of the kids want to be polygamist is telling

Kody seems so angry this season, it was a lot more palpable when he was goofy and “ nurtured these relationships “ ...now the “ CSI” opening shadows how the novelty has worn off and the darker side of polygamy is out in the open. The truth that polygamy is abusive to women and children. That the husband plays favorites and once a woman stops barring children she is put out to pasture. The vast difference between season one to now , from the gleeful family to 4 women with furrowed brows, faces worn with frown lines and wrinkles long made before their natural age. These women are in their late 40’s and Meri now 50 and look so sad and depressed. Robyn has aged 30 years in a 10 yr marriage. The cute young woman of 32 in early clips is sweet and lively. Now her dower forlorn face always frowning and scowling is just hard to look at. It used to be a train wreck to watch and now it’s the iron horse rusting on the track. IMO

Agreed!! They are aging so fast! I was really surprised at how aged Christine looked this season. It so sad to watch.
What makes it so sad is that these people have a wonderful opportunity to do whatever they want. They all seem miserable.
Kody & the polygamy lifestyle has literally sucked the youth out of all four women. Kody is the real cold-hearted b**** in the family. Kody still looks about the same with his cold, tiny eyes & mop hair. Kody has probably spent the most on his hair-do & still looks like a hippy freak!

Jody says s*x is only for people in love. Meri needs to say money is only for people in love and put away her $$$ for herself instead of supporting Kody and his family. That surprised me since I figured he would want to get it as much as he could.

Hi again! I remember reading Carolyn Jessop’s book and her husband had a wife who he didn’t kiss, stay with or have any form of relationship with anymore, but that wife still lived in the house that the other wives lived in. He also had a favourite wife that got the best food and went on business trips with him, and he would often go back to her room after doing the baby making making deed with other wives.
Good comment, people should read and research more about Polygamy.

@@emma-janeward8745 The plural wives on the compounds do seem to hang out with each other more & rely on each other for help with kids, meals, washing & cleaning & sewing their prairie dresses. All the kids intermingle in the plural household & with other little kids on the compound. Do not see the Brown wives hanging out with each other, go out to lunch together, actually help each other with a house project or hang with each other kids now that they live separately in AZ. In the cul-de-sac the kids could visit each other houses (except for Meri it seems?) right next to each other. Never thought the Browns would give up that ideal location --- as close as Kody would ever get to be living in one huge house. Who thinks that Coyote Pass homes will ever be built? Robyn has her 5-6 bedroom home --- why leave that house which is huge & beautiful.

Meri checked out on the marriage when Kody humiliated her on camera by saying he didn't want more children...with her. Divorcing Kody so Robyn's kids could get health insurance was killing Kody and Robyn with kindness. Meri loved the role of martyr until she realized it was a poor substitute for losing Kody. (I'd say good riddance, but go figure).
Yes! Someone else sees this too. Meri brought this all on herself by trying to find a boyfriend on line while still being married and by getting a divorce from Kody. She is very manipulative.
Kody more recently humiliated Meri when the two of them were in the car going somewhere & he repeatedly on a phone call while driving told his friend & us --- he was no longer intimate with Meri. That was plain mean. Meri please leave this man.
you can clearly see ..Kody spends all his time with Robin. !..he is not interested in the other women at all...his world is Robin and those kids at that house ..this "family" is very dysfunctional on so many levels ...if Kody were to get a new wife and spends as much time with her ..Robin would go off the deep end !! So glad to see you guy back !!!!
I seriously doubt - Robyn - would "allow" Kody to bring in a new, younger wife who could give him more kids. Kody does not need more kids --- he has 18 kids --- and does not keep up with the ones he has now.

It’s really sad that all Kody wants from Meri is her MONEY!! When you are STARVED for attention in ANY marriage (plural, or otherwise) and even your “sister wives” show zero compassion... “who ya gonna call”? Kody’s favoritism toward Robyn (which he has never even tried to hide) has DESTROYED not only the family, but each of these women. I hope Meri and Christine get the hell out, and that Janelle will wake up as well, and see that Kody and Robyn are taking them all for a ride! Living off of these 3 women and their success (outside of the show), Kody and Robyn are free to live a monogamous lifestyle at the expense of the rest of the family. Sick...
Janelle being all about polygamy & the sister wives need to get on board --- Please, Janelle why encourage your sister wives to continue to financially support Kody & Robyn who do not work?? Just why.
I completely agree with this. I hate how they've made Christine the villain the last few seasons. She's the only one willing to say what they are all thinking.
Welcome back! You two are way more entertaining than the show. Did you notice when Maddie & Caleb and their kids visited, Maddie was explaining her baby’s physical issues to her siblings. Did none of the mothers bother to tell them when that little girl was born? Shows the level of ‘family’ communication. Otherwise, we got Kody whining, Meri shrugging, Robyn sobbin’, Christine having an anger episode & Janelle trying to be the sane one. Same old same old.
They are basically Stepmoms.. My mom and "Step"Mom talk more they do and they ain't married to same man..They like each other..
This initial drama was all planned and created by them. They brought Robyn in so quickly so they could get the show... which lead to them fleeing for their lives. They need to stop being so dramatic. I know he loves Robyn “the most” but I think he would choose Jenelle to make a life with. She’s no drama and very pragmatic. jenelle is almost like the second actually responsible husband in the poly marriage.
Janelle is calm & she does follow what Kody demands. (she did leave him for about 2 years before the show). Janelle seemed interested in the one home idea on Coyote Pass. Janelle may be too calm for Kody.
I think there was a need when they had to work together back then. It was soley becuase of the kids. They had several small kids at the time. Truely is the last from the "original" bunch and she is getting older, where Christine doesnt need helo with the kids. I think ita bc the kids are all older now and the wives are more independent of one another. The "family" is not what it used to be. The older kids are gone married and starting their own families.
So while avoiding Christine, he is also shutting his kids out.

So this definitely felt like a rehash of the entire previous season; nothing happens, everyone is unhappy, the property sits empty, and Kody is still a nitwit. How can you not look at your own show and see that plural marriage simply doesn't work? Every time they talk about how uncomfortable they'd be to live in one house & see K leave for a date w/ another wife it seems pretty obvious that they don't actually want plural marriage. Also, I think we could make bingo cards like 'Christine is unhappy', 'Meri is unloved', 'Robyn cries', 'Kody takes zero responsibility for causing 98% of their problems'. Another side note, K saying they need to separate their finances in the future is pretty naïve to me. How would your unemployed wives get mortgages then?

Kody & Robyn bought themselves an almost million dollar home after Robyn whined & complained that she wanted to rent. Kody never comforts these women -- never. It is all about him & he wants them (except Robyn) to shelf all complaints. How convenient for him. How can these women/guy say they are in plural marriage when they have not seen each other in while so Janelle thinks they should go out & eat a meal.
Christine does not want to live in a big house & will never get the full attention of Kody that she desperately desires.
Meri just says nothing or grins & bears it. She has an online clothing business & bought her own home in Utah. Leave already. She has the means to support herself & does not need this mess. Why give Kody even one penny of her earnings when he has cut her out completely ----for YEARS. She is his cash cow & has been publically humiliated by Kody comments.
So I've been rewatching to join the Thursday show, but I watched so many that now I can start the season 15 recaps too. I have watched your channel since season 17 started, so I'm really enjoying all the recap seasons for my first time with you both. I'm betting others are rewatching and then viewing recaps as they go too. So I just hope it helps your viewer totals since you have unexpected expenses to deal with.❤

Kody thinks he is so great. He is pathetic and selfish. He says love shouldn't be divided it should be multiplied, but he asked to divide his love between his four wives and his however many children. How is that fair to anybody. It's hard enough with just one wife and one family. I never understood his thinking on that. It just never made sense to me when he's dividing his love and attention between four wives.
Kody makes no sense & lives to feed his massive ego. He loves & lives with Robyn & their kids. I think knowing three other women are living their lives but spiritually married & tied down to him makes him feel manly. Ugh.
Another thing that gets me is they always try to go to these fancy Italian restaurants on the show. You know it’s obviously bc TLC is footing the bill and they’re really just these barefoot neanderthals 😂

I used to watch this show a while back and then stop because it just a mess. The same ole same ole and it seams like nothing has change. Also I been hoping that at least Meri and Christine leave him.

He only lives with Robyn. He had a platonic relationship with the others.! Meri needs to stop living in denial and move on she is a strong woman. Janelle could really careless about anything other then her and Kody being friends. I feel horrible for Christine she seems to be really hurting she wants her husband. Then there is Robyn the only one the Kody really loves and cares about like a husband should. This is just a mess and terribly unfair to these women!
Christine still really LOVES Kody. She has had to deal with her daughter's difficult surgery & the recovery is difficult -- a friend had the spinal surgery & she recovered after several months & is doing well now.
Hopefully, the daughter of Christine will be the better for having treated her condition with surgery. Wish her well.
Kody reminds me of my ex. He treats Meri and Christine like shit. They need to part ways so Kody can live the dream life he wants with Robyn and his sidekick Janelle. His reality will never include them again so they need to cut all ties with him. Force the sell of Coyote Pass. Get the money they deserve and run very fast.
To your point about how long the episodes are - never has a show made me wish so much that streaming services and DVR had an option to let you watch it at 1.5x or 2x speed!

Meri needs to leave. Kodi is never going to treat her any better. I disagree about Kodi and the fertility issue with Meri..he asked her and encouraged it for two yrs while she sat they're saying I don't know. Then when she saw he didn't care anymore, then she wanted to. Meri is FOS and played herself with the fake hot young millionaire catfish🤣 Robin and her tears..always making it about her.
So in Vegas Kody was only at Christine's for 2 hours 2 days a week. Where is he the rest of the time? Barely Janelle's. Not at Meri's. Full-time dad and husband for Robyn.

Can people please stop spreading the *myth* of Robyn not wanting to buy the house. She literally refused to accept *any* rental that would require any of her kids sharing a room. Which means either she *knew* building on CP was a pipe dream, or she is just that selfish (or both)! If she was serious about paying off CP and building, she would rent a smaller house both for not tying up capital *and* saving on monthly rental overhead.
Please stop with this narrative. 🙄

Is the title of this episode a direct question to Kody? Because I’ve been asking that for years.
LOL --- thought these adults were religious --- the title of the episode is crude.
In my Opinion, Cody is only so unhappy and advocates against plural marriage because he finally realizes he is legitimately trapped and tied down to multiple women. He’s older now and the fun is over when it comes to having fun and being with multiple women. He realizes that it is much harder to escape something like this and he’s basically screwed.
Kody could let Meri go --- he has no relationship with her at all. It was probably more "fun" when the kids were little & cute --- now the women have had 6 kids, 6 kids, 1 for Meri, & two Robyn (3 stepkids). Kids get older & Kody is not the leader once they grow up & seek their own lives & goals. He wanted the big house in part so ALL his kids would live there! He could have spent more hands-on time with them when they were younger. I thought the time he took his daughters on a bonding trip was a nice touch. More bonding with all his kids - besides boys/sport should have been encouraged.

That must be so scary to be alone after being raised in it and then leaving something you’ve been apart of for years. The way your were raised in a specific religion or lifestyle does not mean as a mature woman you need to continue something that has made you so unhappy. Women have to deal with changes all the time. You can become divorced, widowed, single Mom etc. Change can be the best.

@@doingme8384 Meri may just be staying to spite him. He keeps saying they can leave if they want to, while secretly hoping at least Meri and Christine will. I wouldn't blame her if she just wants to make him suffer. I'm also pretty sure she thoroughly regrets allowing Robyn to be brought into the family.
So, my first time watching but your intro is plural wedding doesn't work but a non plural wedding doesn't work as well. So many divorces exist and plural marriage looks easier to break then the common one.
