It is the Deutz Gambit from the Italian Game which happens after the following moves: 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4 Bc5 4.0-0 Nf6 5.d4.
Most importantly, this gambit opening has the highest win rate for White after 1.e4; according to the database, the move 5.d4 has 59% win rate for White, which is higher than any other opening variation that White can achieve after 1.e4 e5.

Hey Igor i think you missed a Part of the most important line. To take to early on g7 can be a mistake.
Better try to give the Check first Rock e1 after bishop e6 knight g5 etc.
There are after only queen d5 black can play on. all other moves Lose the you can play on how you showed.

Many prefer to call it the Max Lange Gambit, its fairly long-established label: Lange - Anderssen, Breslau 1859, 1-0 in 30. It's different from its better known companion, the Max Lange Attack. By the way, there's an earlier game of Cochrane. However, Lange (and Cochrane) both played 7 f4 (after 5...Bd4 6. Nd4 Nd4), whereas Deutz - Scheidt, Aachen 1934, 1-0 in 20, has the sharper 7. Bg5 which is the move considered in this video.

What if instead of black bishop to c5, black brings knight out to f6, white castles, and knight to f6 takes pawn e4? 9 times out of 10 if I don't defend the pawn on e4, the opponent takes the pawn, then their next move no matter what is to fork my queen and rook by taking f2 removing my ability to castle.

Good Italian game tricks
what will you do if black move bishop to D7. Then it is defended by the queen and if white take bishop F7, then black queen take f7 and still defend the bishop at D7. and you can't prevent black from castle. try that line out.
I tried this and the knight moved to e4 and then I moved my queen to e2 as demonstrated, but then black moved its pawn from c7 to c5 because it’s attacking my bishop and if I kill it, the queen takes my bishop so the only thing I can do is retreat?

I'm new to your channel and i find your videos very helpful. I just got some clarification on this topic. In 1:31, What if they play Ne4 then you play Qe2 then they defend it by pawnF5, how does it progress? My idea is you will add an attacker by playing Nc3 then they will play Pawn to D5, then you're kinda losing on that position. I hope you can answer this clarification, I'm looking forward on your next video.

What is this opening called?
I played a variation of this opening, but I didn't castle before playing pawn d4, and then when my opponent took, I sacrificed the bishop right away. I ended up winning later by pinning a knight and attacking a rook, and I took the rook. Do you recommend this variation too, or is your method more secure? My premise was that after sacrificing my bishop, I can attack again with the knight and give a check, and bring my queen out.
Can you post the exact move orders? I checked on lichess and it shows that With has an advantage if you don’t castle and push the d pawn too early. You can check on lichess too if it’s good or bad to do certain things

In 2:19, what if black plays King to f8 instead of capturing the Bishop?
Bg5 and White will have lots of options after Black blocks. Stockfish says it's +4 for White
Bishop to b3 should be a nearly winning advantage.
What if, on the position 4:20, black goes pawn f6
2:01 Black knight to e4 then white queen to e2 is not a trap since black easily can move pawn to d5 so white queen cannot take black knight. white bishop cannot take pawn on d5 because of the queen
You're right, d5 is the best try for Black. Nevertheless, White can take en passant (ed), and Black can't save the pinned knight anyway.

It's really similar to the Haxo gambit (another variation of the Scotch game). I'll try this one because the Haxo gambit works tremendously for me on lichess.

This one's really similar to the Haxo gambit, and that one's been working tremendously for me, so I'll try this one as well. Try the Haxo gambit, in my experience, around 90-95% of players aren't aware of the tricks it poses.
For now I let those other streamers do their job, but who knows, maybe I'll join the gang one day.

I opened in this manner and all was going well. When I pushed my pawn to d4 they captured with the pawn and I pushed pawn to e5. BUT, when they moved Ke4 and I followed with Qe2, they responded with pawn to f5. I wasn’t sure how to proceed following that. Can you give advice?
You can do en passant with your e pawn probably

Yes. It’s still quite strong if black doesn’t know what they’re doing.
Its not the normal one there are 3-4 who transpose in each other first shown on gj-chess.

Yes it is, don't know why some sources refer to it as the "Deutz". If anything the alternative name should be Koltanowski who probably did more than any other player (with possible exception of the great theoretician Y. Estrin) to popularize the Max Lange. Indeed some sources attach "Koltanowski" to the Max Lange. GingerGM does a credible job of analyzing these lines in his videos and his latest book "Grandmaster Gambits".

Awesome chess openings....until you pay a low elo player that thinks this game is packman or checkers. It usually last until their third move and they take everything they can get their hands on.

Repetition is the mother of learning. Watch the video a few times. You won't remember it fully but you'll still be way ahead of your opponents.

you can transfer it into the Blackmar Diemer or take the pawn and bully the queen with the knight and bishop

Igor to take on g7 is wrong. You need to give first the Check on e 1 with Rock first. To force bishon on e file.
