Iv had one the exclusive phev for a year ,70 miles to the gallon , 0 to 60 is quick with 256 bhp you have to drive it reasonable steady but i use it mostly short journies , nothing has gone wrong at all same as the day i bought it , unlike my Jaguar xfs brought brand new , turbo blew after 6 months without the car for 1 month just out of guarantee the tubo actuator blew £1000 to repair , blew again with in the year , loved to car kept it for 13 years cost me a fortune in tyres, brakes discs repairs servicing cost dear anyway now i am 74 this car is brilliant for money , easy to get in and out , my eyes are not the best but driving position is great , very comfortable car for my old bones , charge to car on ordinary house hold 13amp plug no problem , MG have reasonable cheap servicing 7 year warranty im not doing many miles so most of the time i am on electric which is quick on its own, plenty room in the back for my Trek Domane + alr bike plenty room for my fishing gear so as you can tell im happy chap at the moment it does it all i want , im a engineer by trade so iv owned Jags , Mercs and Britis Crap in the 70s and 80s and British MGs and most was rust buckets and needed loads of repairs so this little jem will do me.

I bought a new one a few months ago with the red interior and love it. I drive a fair bit in town and most journeys under 30 miles so in EV a lot. Driving around normally I get 100mpg so I’m really pleased with that. On a 1500 mile trip with our caravan and a roof box fitted I averaged 40mpg. I find the car to be a relaxed and comfortable drive

Had one of these as a rental in France, the powertrain was dangerously unpredictable. Overtaking simply is dangerous because the car couldn't decide if it wanted to give the full 260hp or not!
It’s certainly not the smoothest power train in the world

Like to know the fuel loss , once battery is drained as this is 300 plus kilo heavier than non plug in , so for example you got a 100 -120 mile roundtrip and not able to spend time recharging. The non plug in auto box will be about with a bit of town and motor way roughly 35 mpg all together. Can pick up the new shape non plug in. With top spec, auto box 9 months old for 22 k .
There’s not much difference between them unless you plug it in every night and only use petrol power for longer trips.
Exhaust rear and lights totally different to previous version ???
Think the word ‘totally’ is doing some very heavy lifting there
Honestly I don't mind the lost boot space, if it means I don't have to lift stuff over the lip any more.
Buy an estate, the boot lip will be lower

Does sport mode or whatever it’s called have any effect on the gear change? Thanks!
Not really, just holds onto gears for longer than it otherwise would. Sports mode in pretty much every ‘normal’ car does almost nothing.

@@BuckleUpShow but you know 6 is for Petrol Engine and 4 for EV Engine, that's why its acting slow with kick down
We know that's what the various gears are for, I'm not sure it excuses the kickdown
Just got one as a company car and tbh I don’t think it’s great. Got about 190 miles for £45 worth of fuel - doesn’t seem great and the tank seems small as well. My own fault I should of had a test drive and read up first lol 😂
The new one seems much better on initial impressions
This guy has put zero effort into this video. What a joke.
The rear lights are new led and new design.
The rear exhaust is new design.
The rear bumber and splitters are new design.
The alu wheels are new.
The infotainment system is upgraded.
The car is longer.
I properbly missed some more changes.
I think the term used was ‘basically the same’ i.e it hasn’t changed much. It wasn’t really worth mentioning in our opinion.

I think its a very beautifull car, i test drove it 2 weeks ago and the gearbox made me choose a other car...arround 80km/h 1 or 2 seconds lagging...unreal
I had the exact same thing happen to me, weird lagging issue. Needs some fettling me thinks.

It sounds great but in reality it's not as it seems, with dodgy software and it might have a 7 year warranty but try and get spares for them.
Find me a modern car without dodgy software that have spares readily available. There aren’t any unfortunately.
