- Ali and I walked from our hotel along Playa Icacos to La Quedabra to watch the cliff divers. We checked out all the beaches and surrounding areas looking for the best place to stay along the bay. Here's some video of the various areas, our thoughts on Acapulco and where we'll stay next time we visit. Thanks!

Near the Airport
I was there in 1979 and Acapulco sure has changed.
Acapulco 2023 good people only
There used to be a nice restaurant there where you could eat dinner and watch the divers.
We saw the restaurant, but seemed like it's best days had past 😬
Best beach in Acapulco is Playa Bonfil, located in Diamante newer area of Aca
We planned to tour Diamante, but just couldn't make it. Although I think if we can go to the tennis tournament next year we'll stay there.

i love people like you that aren't pussies and listen to the media about how dangerous countries are when they're not , i never once felt unsafe in Acapulco. I cant wait to go back!

In alcapulco do you see a lot of people sitting on the beach for saying hours like they do in Cancun
There are a lot of beaches in the bay, and there was plenty of space to spread out.
I haven't been to Acapulco since the late 1980s. We stayed at the Pierre Marques and also the Acapulco Princess. They were gorgeous back then. Not sure what they are like now or if they even exist anymore.
Which is the area where you're likely to get shot or robbed?
No idea. I think you're fine unless you are doing something illegal yourself.
