Today is October 15, 2020 and I'm looking to upgrade my 6D. I went to the B&H website because that's where I buy my camera bodies and discovered the Canon 6D mark II body was $1399.99 but more surprisingly the 5Ds was $1299.99 and the 5Ds R is $1499.99. These are new Canon USA bodies, not refurbished bodies. Now I'm trying to decide whether to go with the 6DII or the 5Ds. I'd consider the 5Ds R but I don't think I'd see much of a difference. I have a very old Nikon D800 and never did see a difference in D800e or D810 images so why pay an extra $200 for the R?
