- After a century-long absence, gray wolves have returned to California forests. Though some experts are thrilled to see their return, some farmers and ranchers worry the wolves pose a threat to their animals. From Tulare County, California, VOA’s Robin Guess reports. Camera: Matt Dibble, Roy Kim.

They have been there for 7 years! My wife and I saw them 2 black ones and a grey.
Where
This is great! I imagine ranchers (I'm the grandson of ranchers from Shasta) don't like this, but in the long run, it will be good for California.

Protect the wolves
Must be like Vegas: all my Canadian wolves and the three gigantic grizzly up at the ranch 1,000 feet up and we have never had an issue.
I believe I seen a wolf before arriving at Bear Valley years ago

Sorry California just never was a fan of wolves. Hopefully they stay in the park. But wolves roam and they can’t read signs and they are the apex predators and they do love to dine on easy prey like livestock. Time will give California the answer of their coexistence with man and livestock. I know what a pack of wolves can do and what they are capable of, so does fish and wildlife.
There's a reason these wolves were driven away before; they pose a significant danger to rural human settlements and their inhabitants, especially small children, pets, and livestock.
Me in town in the Columbia valley, headwaters of the mighty Columbia river: two hectares of skunk, bear, mule deer, corvids, and the occasional wolf passing through, and all my chickens looking down from their pine tree.
Keep better track of your kids and pets. Get a dog that Russians use to fight wolves. Other countries do it I have faith that we can too.
Mostly to livestock, they stay away from human settlements. They were also hunted back them because they weren’t able to track them, once they ar tracked it’ll be way easier to manage them
But you can't really name any situations where wolves pose a significant threat to anything around "human settlements," huh? Nah. You can't. Belief is what drives the train for some. And if there's a chance for fear people gravitate like moths to a flame. I don't get it. But then again, I live in the mountain wilderness so maybe that's why.
