  • This is the guitar tab for I Aint Living Long Like This, from the original Waylon Jennings recording. I transcribed it myself note for note. (Steel guitar parts are played, and notated on a standard six string electric guitar.)
It is dedicated to Waylon Jennings.
I'm playing all the instruments and singing.
I started by separating the original track into drums/bass/guitar/vocal. I then painstakingly transcribed all the parts note for note, and replayed them. I then went into the recording booth and sang the song.
I Aint Living Long Like This was written by Rodney Crowell, and was recorded by Waylon Jennings in 1979 for the album: What Goes Around Comes Around.
It was originally recorded by Gary Stewart in 1977.
The Equipment used in this recording is as follows:
    Slate ML1 Microphone
    The software is Cubase Pro.
The audio interface is an Axe IO
The Bass sound was created with a Sire V7, straight into the Axe.
The Guitars are a Fender 50's reissue Telecaster, and a Blueridge Acoustic straight into the Axe. Amplitube 5 was used for amp emulation.
The Piano was played on a Roland Fantom.
All vocals were recorded with the Slate ML1
Ozone 9 was used for mastering.
The video, and the recording, were produced by Abraham Myers.
