I'm new to this channel I'm glad to see it exists!! In-depth digital monster knowledge must be attained especially by fans !! I appreciate your time and dedication for these videos 🙏
In some D&D inspired settings the slimes are often used as, you guessed it, cleanning monsters (Useful for cleaning both sewers and dungeons). I wonder if this is the inspiration behind Numemon. Slimes are really iconic in Japan since Dragon Quest.
First time discovering this channel, as a Digimon and Pokémon fan, I need to find more channels about Digimon. This is really interesting and funny. My favorite digimon are Hawkmon, Bukamon, and Meicoomon. Would any of them make good partners?
The short answer is Yes! Though Meicoomon may need some extra attention to prevent...issues. For a more in depth answer I'll add each of them to the lesson plan!
*Flash backs of Digimon World 1 where you accidentally evolve your partner into it.* Very informative my good sir tho here's another idea. Explaining every Gabumon species.
I know that the Monzaemon evolution method in this video is a reference to Digimon World, but I was actually enlightened to a take on the Numemon - Monzaemon evolution that I really like and _genuinely_ think may have been intentional. Monzaemon's whole thing is centered around love and happiness; its attacks use hearts as projectiles and make people feel happy, that was the thrust of the conflict in an episode of Adventure with Monzaemon, and it being a teddy bear is a tradtional sign of friendship and softness. The reason why Numemon evolves into Monzaemon is because it represents a tamer who makes mistakes and evolves their Digimon into Numemon (the Mistake Digimon), but perseveres and pushes through it, trying to fix their mistake and showing their horrible little slime creature love regardless of how it looks. By gritting your teeth and being kind to your terrible Numemon, you are rewarded when it evolves into Monzaemon, because it's become infused by your love. I also think it might have been fun to bring up the running gag that women absolutely _love_ Numemon. For some reason Bandai loves giving female tamers Numemon partners, even when they're _not even their characters_ (Lili from Tekken cameos in Re:Digitize and she has a Numemon that she adores and calls beautiful). Sakaki Tamahime from Seekers is the one that primarily comes to mind for in-universe Digimon characters.
It's also fun to imagine that some numemons do also become better persons due to the tamer's influence, and evolving to Monzaemon is their reward for overcoming the self-loathing and improving the behavior.
I think it speaks volumes that it's the only champion level digimon I'm fairly certain I can beat in a fight with just a bar mace and large amounts of swearing
I think you forgot to mention some of its other digivolutions like Kyodainumemon, platinumnumemon, Numemon X or Sukamon. Also the fact we've seen them in different colorings.
@@heimko3618 Great observation! Sadly I don't have the time to go over every potential digivolution for a 'mon as thatd be an hour video for each but I try to pick some of the more common or interesting ones!
To be fair in the case of some digimons i don't think it would be that bad, a 15-20 minutes video wouldn't hurt (or even a 30+ one). As for number of digivolutions, i've counted 17 (18 with Numemon itself (not counting the color variants as we saw in Digimon World 3 and others)) and you covered BlackKingNumemon, ShellNumemon, Monzaemon and GoldNumemon. I did some research and found the following, incase you'd want or wish to do a part 2: Numemon->KyodaiNumemon. Numemon->ShellNumemon. Numemon->GoldNumemon. Numemon->Numemon X->Monzaemon X Numemon->BlackKingNumemon->PlatinumNumemon. ->WaruMonzaemon->GigaWaruMonzaemon. Numemon->Monzaemon-ShinMonzaemon. ->KingSukamon. Numemon->Sukamon->Etemon->MetalEtemon->KingEtemon. ->PlatinumSuka.

Numemon is definitely violating the Digi-Geneva Convention
The Digineva Convention
The File Island convention

Good lesson
Congratulations for the 100 subs
Thanks for accepted my request
I'm curious about the AncienWisemon legacy to modern digimon
I'll look into it and add it to the lesson plan!

Awww poor Numemon. I WUV them. I think it's great they added a Numemon to a side character in Seekers.
I feel sorry for the digidestined who is fated to be partnered with a Numemon

Honestly a great video, good job digidoctor !!
I'm going to subscribe. Old time digimon fan.
I love numemon's design, it actually reminds me a bit like Jar Jar from Star Wars.
This video instilled a newfound respect for Numemon.

Cyber sleuth they are good for exp/item/gold farming
Numemon has the ecological niche of eating poop so that the world isn’t full of poop
Also can u do Bulucomon.
I love that ice dragon.
💙
One of my favorites as well! I'll add him to the lesson plan!
Can u do a “documentary” on Witchelny?
Oh interesting, I'll add it to the lesson plan!

What about Chumon? Or...Sukemon I think was its name?

I love Catherine
