Please show us how to do it the other way. Take 4 beats of 1 bar and copy them and extend to 8 bars. So far this is impossible and such a basic function it looks like they have missed.
Hi, Definitely they don't missed that function. Please see link below. At 4:20 I explained how you can extend and repeat Patterns when you make Song on Roland fantom. ua-cam.com/video/wULn8S3rjLA/v-deo.html
@@RolandMusics Hi buddy thank you for replying to me but your video was not quite what I meant. I have since found the answer after much searching. What I was trying to achieve was to make a one bar 4 beat pattern with drums for instance and then when I'm happy with it copy it and make it last 8 bars. This is so I can then edit and change the remaining 7 bars to make it more interesting. I am still quite new to the fantom only having had mine for a few weeks so I want to have all my patterns the way I want them before I go to the make song part of the process. I found out how to do it by luckily stumbling upon a post on a forum. You simply use the length button whilst in TR REC mode with the pattern stopped, you then hold down shift when you extend and it copies your pattern content instead of just making the pattern longer without any content in the extended part. Thanks again and keep the videos coming. Thumbs up!
Awesome ! Thank u.
Many thanks 😊
Once you have specified a loop section, is it possible to record new material into that looped section, overwriting what was there?
@@jbognap No it doesn't work that way.

When you step record or sequence, does the board save your work?
