    Werner Farms, established in 1960, is a family farm operation based in rural Hanna, IN. The UA-cam channel and social media pages are run by Keith Werner, the third generation of Werner Farms.
    Werner Farms currently operates on 1,700 acres of corn, soybeans, wheat and rye along with 1,000 acres of custom harvest work. The farm has no-tilled since the early 1980s and continues to increase acres of cover crops year to year. Besides the farm operation, Werner Farms has sold Pioneer Seed since the 1980s. Numerous John Deere tractors are currently used on the farm ranging from a 730 to an 8530.
    Be sure to subscribe and check back often as we post videos every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. We may post more frequently during peak seasons throughout the year.

    I’m looking forward to seeing the boundary mapping. I expect that once done, it can be shared with any equipment having compatible hardware and software. That way, if you sneeze while planting and put a wiggle in a row, the cultivator and side dresser and harvester will all know to wiggle the same. I love technology! Good update, Keith!

    If your insurance company or you decide to add a simple removable handrail for your "unsafe" loft, you could put fence rail brackets on those 2 wood columns and then stick a 2x4 board in there. If you need to put a pallet up there, just lift out the rail. Thanks for the video!

    Sometimes you only get one chance to have a problem. I knew a guy who worked under his vehicles without jackstands for 20 years and never had a problem until a car fell on him. A local guy often got out of his skidsteer with the bucket raised and never had a problem. A couple weeks ago they found him dead under the bucket. It appeared his foot caught as he got out and he fell and couldn't get up as the bucket slowly came down.

    I still enjoy your videos but rarely comment on anyone’s channel. I especially like the organization of your shop, it works for you. I will not comment on any safety aspects on any channel, again. I was indoctrinated by the corporate culture, thank goodness you don’t have to weave through that mine field. Just keep making the videos, I will keep learning.

    The old 2 cylinders would be a good match for that 4 row......youll definitely get some looks. Great video.......OSHA doesn't check farms so safety 3rd

    You May want to put the bolts out through where row cleaner pivots on bracket. We couldn’t get seed openers off after installing them without putting bolts out through. This was on a 1790 20 inch planter so yours may be different. Just something to check. We also had clean sweeps installed. You maybe fine. Good luck

    Yep you might laugh now about a bit of SAFTEY but it’s to late if someone slips and falls it may not be you could be a visitor or family member not used of them but it’s your choice hope it isn’t you that hits the floor the wrong way when you accidentally missthe top step now that would be a laugh wouldn’t it, you could also put a gate across the front it doesn’t take a lot to prevent bad things happening.

    Is that a really big /heavy wood burner sitting there , probably a dumb question but curious minds want to know! Take us with on the mapping , done it with equipment but never side by side . Thanks for the video!

    • @WernerAg
      @WernerAg  5 років тому

      Good eye! That is a custom made wood burner made out of a steel tank. When I do a shop tour I'll cover that in the video. I'll be sure to get a few videos on the boundary mapping!

      We didn't want something large and we are only using it for plots and sweet corn. Nothing too extreme.
