- As Taylor Family tradition would have it, getting together on holidays equates into mini gospel concerts. Thanksgiving 2012 would prove to be no different. The House on Wabash created a nostalgic atmosphere where Uncle Dowell graced us on piano and the Taylor Clan blessed us with their voices.
Check out Part II where Grandma Taylor leads us in On the Battlefield For My Lord. Despite Alzheimer's, Grandma still remembers the words to her favorite gospel song. What a special moment to witness this live!
My Mom is one amazing woman! She suffered several strokes years ago and her doctors never thought she'd live to see 83. She was unable to walk and the strokes brought on Alzheimer's. Because of the Alzheimer's her mind didn't know she wasn't supposed to be walking. Therefore, she walks. She's developed a new personality that is so funny. She keeps us laughing with her various stories. She is a jewel.. Our family is BLESSED!!

This is one of my favorite hymns of all time. Your Grand Mother is telling her story about being a soldier in The Lord's Army. You can only serve in one of two Armies. The Lord's Army or The Devil's Army. The choice is yours. I play this version when I need a faith boost. Hymns are weapons God has giving us to fight The Devil and his Demons. The St. Mary M.B. Church's choir will sing this hymn at my funeral when my pallbearers put my casket in the cemetery.

Simply beautiful, that is one of my favorites. I am 75 years old and I remember that is one of the songs that we sung at church down in Arkansas. It is good to see grandma who is 83 still on the battle field.
Thank you for watching, she passed in April of 2017 this memory still lives on!

After Jan, Debra and Barry and their families returned from Belzoni, we had a wonderful praise and worship service with our mother who can sit for hours at Charles' home. Yes, she is truly an amazing woman of God and loves to be at the old homestead! The Taylor Family and Friends couldn't have asked for a better Thanksgiving!
