Taking guests on a scenic tour around various areas of the park like New Orleans Square, the Rivers of America, behind the It's a Small World Clock Tower, the Grand Canyon, and back in time to the Primeval World, the Disneyland Railroad is one of the most unique experiences not only at the Disneyland Resort but in all of the Disney Parks around the World! Although the Disneyland Railroad has gone through some massive changes over the years like the rerouting of the Track along with the Rivers of America during the construction of Rise of the Resistance and Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, the Disneyland Railroad still remains an iconic symbol of the Disney Parks and the man behind their creation. So much so that the Disneyland Railroad was also the place where famous actor Josh Gad had a photo shoot, both on one of the Disneyland Trains and in front of the Main Street Station. I small Snippet of the Photo shoot was included in the first 5 seconds of this video. The Disneyland Railroad is a great attraction for all the family to enjoy, the Disneyland Railroad is both a great way to take in the wonderful scenery of Walt Disney's Original Magic Kingdom and rest your feet after a long day of walking around the Park.

Why was New Orleans closed?

Because of the construction going on for the NEW 2024 Haunted Mansion queue refurb and also bc they’re re working on the plot of land that sits between Tiana’s Palace and the Haunted Mansion’s old queue there’s going to be a new court yard and fountain being implemented as well as the actual station where you board the train is getting a mini refresh too! The station should reopen sometime in late summer of this year while the Haunted Mansion won’t be reopening until August and it won’t be the original attraction it will be the Haunted Mansion Holiday (Nightmare Before Christmas overlay)!

I’ve ALWAYS loved the Disneyland Railroad 🚂❤️🤍🩶🖤. If there’s ONE thing that the WDC couldn’t screw up, even if they TRIED, it’s this much-adored classic treasure!!!
If USH, Knott’s Berry Farm, OR Six Flags were to ask…”What does Disneyland have that WE DON’T…☹️⁉️⁉️⁉️”
I’d PROBABLY say…”A classic, authentic, vintage turn-of-the-century steam-powered, locomotive 🚂 driven train that you could INDEFINITELY…😁!!!”

You’re right, they DO…BUT…
1.) Whilst Knott’s might be AUTHENTIC, it’s still not AS exciting as Disneyland’s (.in other words, it doesn’t feel as “absorbed” or “assimilated” into the “experience” like DLR’s is;
2.) Now, I BELIEVE that Magic Mountain MIGHT have SOMETHING resembling a steam train 🚂, but not on the same level as DLR or KBF…☹️;
3.) When it comes to The Wizarding World of Harry ⚡️Potter, the Hogwarts Express locomotive 🚂 (c/o Track 9 3/4…😄!!!) LOOKS authentic, but like many things Universal, it’s all about “The Presentation”. Furthermore, whereas Universal Orlando’s Hogwarts Express is an interactive part of the Wizarding World experience (transport between Diagon Alley and Hogsmead and back again), the HE at the USH location is [merely] an “observational” aspect of the WWHP experience.
To a degree, one could also see the USH HE train 🚂 as “subliminal advertising” to entice the more “devout followers” to brave that journey from LA to Orlando to immerse oneself in not just Hogsmead AND Hogwarts, but Diagon Alley as well.
