    Loving these vibes. So much potential in what Goose lake will produce in the future.

      Could be really interesting in a few years if the carp get up t the 80+lb size. Carl is fishing there basically every week and the biggest seems to be around the 60lb mark at the moment. I keep asking the staff if they will add more carp. it would be good to see a 2nd generation coming up. my worry is that once the carp get a bit bigger they will sell them on. the one guy did say the alligator gar will be added to the main lake.

    • @Fishinginbangkok
      @Fishinginbangkok  Рік тому +1

      I only remember weighing the one that Richard had. to be honest we need some decent scales as the ones I have the batters died. we weighed a lot of carp from there before and there all around the 45-60lb mark . probably all stocked at the same time.

      Hiate yes it was weighed 63 pound I don't weigh them normally cos I fish on my own and it's a palava I have had a few around that size I will weigh a few more tbh I thought it was high forty think I been underestimating 😁😁😁

    Do any of these private lakes have fishing tackle for rent? Looks like a lot of fun!

    • @Fishinginbangkok
      @Fishinginbangkok  Рік тому +2

      Hi I spoke to the owner of this lake via Facebook messenger and he did say they can supply gear at 300b a day. No idea of the quality of what they are offering. They have landing nets around free for use. If you are traveling over to Thailand you may want to bring a reel with you that you know is in good condition loaded with fresh braid and then rent the rod or just buy a rod. you can buy a 1/2 decent rod for 1000-1700 Thai B from most Thai tackle shops. Then all you need is a feeder and a few hooks and your away.

  • @ivornappinion9406
    @ivornappinion9406 Рік тому

    What pound braid and size hooks would you reccomend to bring ?

    • @Fishinginbangkok
      @Fishinginbangkok  Рік тому +1

      Braid for this lake 65 or 80Lb. If you plan on fishing other Venus like Jurassic or palm tree then 80lb as these other places have minimum limits to the gear but for my preference 65 or 80lb would be good. Hook sizes well that's a difficult one to answer as every country seems to have there own size system and I am not sure where you are and what system you are used to. Just buy your hooks here there probably going to be cheaper and bigger size options than say the UK. we where using size 13, 14 and 15 Thai hooks. That just means that the hook has a gape of 13mm 14mm or 15mm so the 13mm gape would be close to a UK size 2 hook. If you want the smaller carp like the rohu, Java barb and migral bring the size down a bit to an 8, 9 or10 Thai size.
