Thanks for this video. I followed the steps and had no problem programming my streaming devices, but my hisense television would not program. I even tried the last resort. Nothing.

I purchased a terk universal remote because a button (sat button) came off my dish network remote. Can I use this remote to program to my dish receiver? If so do I need to perform the code input in front of the TV or receiver as it's the secondary tv I need the remote for. Thank you!
If this is the secondary TV, this won't work. The receiver is in another room. The original remote used UHF to control the receiver that was located somewhere else in the house. This remote only works with IR. They do sell the Dish UHF remote on Amazon pretty cheap. Hope this helps... :-) Unless I misunderstood and you're using a newer system that has the hopper in one room then a joey receiver in the secondary location?

How to program for one-button "all on" or "all off", without having to select which device you want to turn off?
Some remotes can do that, but I don't believe this one can.
I keep running into an issue with mine: When I'm actively using a streaming service, it won't let me adjust volume unless I switch the button back and forth between streaming button and TV button. I've never had to do that with a universal remote before. Is there any workaround for this?
Yes... many remotes can lock the volume to a device of your choosing... whether it's an amplifier or a TV. I don't remember if this one has that feature or not. I usually mention it in the video if it does.
Help! My dad purchased a terk universal remote that works with his JVC SP55M-C BLACK Sapphire Smart TV. However, the original JVC Remote RMT-JC02 has an ICE Apps Button (ICE=Internet Connected Experience which provides him with access to Internet companies like,Netflix & You Tube) & a separate Netflix Button. Is there a way to transfer the Netflix Preprogrammed Button from his JVC Remote to the red colored button on his New Terk Universal Remote? I watched an RCA Universal Remote How to video that allows the old remote to transfer a Netflix button to a RCA Universal Colored Button (either red, blue, green or yellow). I would like to attempt this button transfer to occur from my dad's JVC Remote to the red button on his Terk Universal Remote. Is this possible? If so, how? Stephanie Christoff
HI Stephanie, I looked at the owners manual again and I didn't see anything in there about this remote being a learning remote. You're right in your logic in transferring functions from the original remote to the universal. Unfortunately, It doesn't look like the Terk remote is teachable. What u need is a learning remote then your plan should work just fine...

And if the RCA Universal Remote allows you to transfer a Netflix button over to a red key, what does Terc us their color keys for? I am slightly confused. I thought the Universal Remotes had standards regardless of brand? Any additional feedback would be helpful. Syeph

My Terk (12T01) Model # MOD-34 doesn't have a remote control. It only has a cable connector and an audio/video connector. I'm trying to set up an old tv/vcr combo that I won on ebay. The vcr works, but I can't get the tv to work with just a free antenna. Do I need to use my Terk?
Yes probably. I'm assuming the TV/VCR combo doesn't receive digital channels. It didn't seem like the Terk modulator could convert Digital TV signals. You'll need a Digital TV converter to convert the now digital TV signal to another format. IF the DTV converter has an RF jack on it to convert to channel 3 then you don't need the Terk. But if it only has RCA outputs then you'll need to run those into the Terk, so that you can output to the TV on channel 3. I hope that makes a little bit of sense

Hi, I think I was able to enter a correct code for my tv bit now can't change the channels. Everyone says to an auto channel search. How do I do that?
HI, the auto channel search is located in the menu. Every TV is going to be different so I can't really give you instructions on how to navigate to it. If you only have one channel in memory, that's probably why you can't change channels.. Also, if your on cable or sat, you're probably receiving the TV signal though the HDMI port and your cable/ satellite receiver box.. The different TV channels are probably only going to program if you're receiving channels from an antenna on the house? Is that the case? Older cable systems had channels that came directly though the TV and you could change channels on the TV, but I think they pretty much make you get a box now to receive all the cable channels. I could be wrong..
Hi There I just got a Terk Unversial Remote today & have a question
Is it possible to set up the Remote to Power On Both My Sony TV & Direct TV Reciever when pressing the Power Button without needing to hit the TV button to turn off or on the TV then needing to hit the Satalite Button to trun off or on the Reciecer
In other words is it possible to Power on both with 1 Button if so can you guide me on how to do this thanks
HI, do you have the manual handy? I'd have to do some searching for it. If you have it you would look for something called programming "macros". These are a sequence of commands that you can program into the remote... I don't remember off hand if it has this feature..

I can now control my bluetooth speaker but how do I pair the the speaker to another device, using this remote?
I don't know what speaker you have to be able to pair it to another device. Not sure if I understand the question..

@@petergachuki7214 You might need the original remote to get the speaker into pairing mode. The universal remotes usually have just basic functions when it comes to audio devices..
I was almost there then something clicked back off the page for Netflix or any apps the remote turns volumes work with every other function but the apps??? Helppppp...please☺️
I'm not sure on that one... try taking the batteries out for about 15 minutes and start from scratch? Maybe something got corrupted..

Hi, it's not on the back of the remote.. The remote usually comes with a programming manual and a code booklet. If you've lost that, I usually leave a link to the codes in the description. If it's not there or the link doesn't work, it's easy to google the codes for Terk 6 device remote. Or whichever model you have.
If there is only one code on the manual list for the TV, but the remote doesn't offer all the functions - I can't access the settings with the remote - is there a way this can be addressed?

Question.. my step dad just gave me this universal remote but lost the code list. I looked up code lists for my tv and I got a couple. I tried every code and it won’t work. For all the codes, my power light went on but didn’t stay on and non of the buttons worked.

@@taylorwuthenow5841 I'm sorry you're having trouble.. Are you using this on a smart TV? Or what brand is it? Also make sure the batteries in the remote are good, sometimes that can cause programming issues..

Having a hard time programming my sharp tv 📺 and the single digit code isn’t on their list
The single digit code is only for a few brands. Seems like sharp would have been one of them, but what about the regular codes?
Does anyone know why the back button doesn't work? It's difficult to navigate the apps on my TV if I can't use the back button.

@@JLPicard440 All of the other buttons work while using apps on my tv except the back bitton. However, it does work if I'm watching cable channels. The back button will switch back to the previous channel. There's only 2 codes for Samsung TVs and one of them doesn't work at all.
@@SelectiveSocial401 Does this remote have an auto search feature? I don't remember.. Maybe that'll hit on a code that works better. I'm surprised Samsung is having trouble, that's a pretty mainstream brand..

How do I access subtitles for TV programs with the Terk 6 remote?
Good question. Some factory remotes have a button called SAP or audio, and some don't. If your original remote had such a button and there's no access for it in the TVs menu then no, you probably can't access it. You might have to go through the menu and see if there's an option to turn on the secondary audio. Also, you could try pushing those colored buttons and see if one of those will activate it..just to see if they'll do anything. keep in mind, you won't hear the secondary audio unless that particular program is broadcasting it.

How do I connect this controller to a scepture smart tv?
The same way as shown in the video, but substitute the codes for Scepture.
My power and volume button work but nothing else on element smart tv
Smart TVs sometimes don't play well with universal remotes. IF you've tried all the available codes for your brand, there may not be anything else you can do. If that's the case, you need a teachable remote and the original remote to teach the codes.

My terk remote worked fine until now. Changed batteries but still will not turn on tv and other functions do not work either.

No it has been dropped a couple times but was still good.
@@earlc5990 It's hard to say, I'd say to look in the manual to see if there's a factory reset and start over. If there's not one listed there, try taking the batteries out for about a half hour and then start from scratch. Something might have gotten corrupted..

HI, sometimes a code will only partially work. Did you try all the codes available for your unit? I believe the aspect ratio is usually located in the menu of the device.

I'd have to go back and read the book on this because I don't remember, but sometimes the remote will allow you to put any device on any button. If that's the case here, you can put the 2nd TV on an unused button.

This should definitely work with Sony.... It's a major brand... If it's a smart TV, it might only work basic commands like volume, input, etc. Did you try codes for Sony?

Yes, there's a good chance it'll work. If you set the remote up to control your TV, you have to enable HDMI-CEC on your TV and it'll work through that. There's no code for Firestick. It doesn't work that way.
