    The medal ceremony took place on January 28, 1943, right in the middle of the war.

    These generals are immortal heroes. They won the biggest war in human history. Not surprisingly, the world and Russia still remember their names. Meanwhile, no one remembers the name of the Russian general from the WW1

      These generals beat the hell out of a ferocious army destroying 604 Axis divisions in a period of 4 years.

      Nobody remembers the Russian generals of the First World War? Are you serious? At least not only in Russia, but also in the Western world, the name Brusilov is remembered

    It would be nice if they included subtitles telling you who was who. I only recognized Zhukov. I'm not enough of a Soviet historian to recognize the others.

    Интересная хроника. Это сразу после Сталинграда, январь-февраль 1943 года. Можно видеть, что часть генералов ещё в старой форме - с петлицами и ордена они получают тоже раннего образца на 4 угольной колодке. Этот момент мельком упоминал в своих мемуарах Рокоссовский, там он очень удивилися, когда прилетев в Москву, увидел генералов и маршалов в погонах. Хотя здесь он и сам в погонах.

    Seriously?
    The footage is obviously Soviet and therefore property of the USSR.
    I would consider this footage stolen from it's rightful owners - I guess it doesn't get any more British than that.

      It was likely distributed as a bit of war propaganda.
      Another commented this happened in mid-43, and by 2015 (when this seems to have been posted) Union was gone for twenty-three years, and it had been some 70 years since the recording.

      He was but he was the main artillery commander, i'm not sure what that means but he was counted as a marshal

      @@Zinconium Nikolay Voronov led by Soviet Forces in defeating the Nazis at Stalingrad in February 43. He was chosen by Zhukov to lead the offensive.

      Voronov was already a Marshall rank ,1943, when F. Paulus met him and (at that time) General Rokossovsky , who was commander of Don front.

    Их надо было всех расстрелять всех за то что довели армию до такого состояния что она не смогла своими силами дать отпор. Учитывая человеческий ресурс а также природные богатство мы вообще не должны были запустит его на свою территорию
