Yep, Seaflo are awsome units, I changed out a flojet for the same reason and added an accumulator to eliminate the pulsing and splattering problems. Seaflo are also very good value for money.

It is my belief that your comparison between the pumps is not entirely fair. If you had installed the Accumulator with the old pump, it is very likely most, if not all the surging of the water stream and the vibration of the lines would have been eliminated, with that eliminated, possibly the decibel count may have been fractionally lower as a result of the pump not surging and pipes vibrating.

Yep totally agree, not comparing apples with apples.
Also if you follow the installation instructions for the Shurflo, they recommend fitting flexible pipes to inlet and outlet of pump so the vibration is not amplified by the rigid John Guest tube.
That is what I have done with mine, as well as installing an accumulator and it made a huge difference.

Did you try adjusting the pump? Easy to do with an allen key. Not sure you would need to change if adjusted.

I’m still using the pump in a portable setup I’m using now. I’ve had a play and it hasn’t gotten any quieter. Works well still.

Isn't it an unfair test though because you're using an accumulator for the seaflo but not the shurflo...?

Great vid and I’ve just ordered both items to do the same in my Jayco van.
Did you get round to making the transfer pump for bladder - van tank with the old pump?

That’s awesome. This has definitely been much better than the factory pump. Yes I’ve got a vid planned soon on the pump and bladder 👍🏻
