Make an electric reverse by using a starter motor with chain and sprockets connected to the rear drive shaft, my friend did it that way on his motorcycle engine driven car
Holy crap your channel just keeps blowing up Vasily!!! Dude I don’t get to come here every day because I’ve seen all your videos other than when you upload a new one so sometimes that’s pretty far between and every time the huge jump and subscribers makes me smile so big because I’m truly glad to see my brother winning. I’m proud of you man. You are a true American and one hell of an inspiration love you bro
@@rickburnout666 Yes sir and I second this people have been doing this since way back even before my dad was born lol it is a very common and well documented way to put a reverse on something without having to get too crazy great comment and great advice
"Bonne job le jeune!👍👍" Just love your videos, at 52 watching them is like being a kid again. You know, growing old is mandatory but growing up is an option!😆
For future builds Ski-Doo engines have had push button reverse since the 90’s. The computer is programmed to stop the motor and re start it rotating in the opposite direction at the push of a button. In other words you get reverse with no gear box.
dude, its amazing to see the skills you have and the quality of work you do. Far superior to many others with professional shops and a large arsenal of tools at their disposal.
I love watching your builds. Been watching you since you were so young it feels. I’m happy to see there’s young guys still having fun like I did. I built a sxs back in 2007 when I was 16. I took a rolled king quad 300 and stripped it down. We used a Chinese off-road go cart just like yours. The 4wd was tricky. Had to make a custom 2 pc front driveshaft that had 2 bearings holding the shaft in a sheet metal tunnel between the seats. Wish I would have had the motivation to record things back then.
An option you could look into for reverse is Polaris PERC. It was offered on 2004ish and later snowmobiles, and basically, you it a button, and then engine shuts off and restarts in reverse. Would save a lot of space and weight to not have a gearbox. I know PERC was offered on some later 700 motors. Not sure how easy it is to find parts and info on the conversion
Vasily it’s already looking good and that engine is going to move! Also if I may please encourage your little sis to wear a helmet too. It’s just good practice. Alright looking forward to your next installment of this build! Thanks Vasily you’re killing it as usual👏
If you want reverse look into the perc module that came on the edge snowmobiles, it shuts the engine down and runs it backwards all by a push of a button. It should be plug and play but you also need the secondary clutch that works both ways.
For the reverse, I would use a transmission from another 4x4 side by side. Its belt driven so the cvt will work with it easily, it has reverse, and it has an output for a driveshaft to the front. all you would have to do is add the appropriate axles
Hey vasily, i'm a long time subscriber and it's awesome to see how far you've come. You've inspired me to try to build a UA-cam channel. I actually am getting all the stuff to build an fzr600 go kart. keep up the great work, god bless.
No motor on the electric bike, I think your sister likes it just how it is. I enjoy watching all your fab work, keep the great content coming, Thanks Vasily!
I honestly can't wait to see what this thing can do on some trails. So cool and probably a lot cheaper to just reconfigure a cheap chinese go cart than starting from scratch. Saves a lot of thinking and tube bending as well...
That's great you're looking out for your sister with the Grom. Something that fast can end very bad very quick. Happy New Year and looking forward to your 2023 projects.
Cool build.. I love those Polaris engines, I have a 2000 600 in my home built buggy. The stock single expansion chamber is a good pipe, good power. I would recommend getting the mated flatslide Mikunis that were stock, they have a throttle position sensor which adjusts the timing. The temp sensor on the top of the engine is also plugged into the electronic ignition module. Check your power valve, those diaphragms are a rear item, and it doesn't hurt to clean up those power valves , my diaphragms were shot. I got low, high and reverse by using a Polaris 4 wheeler transmission.. Like I said, cool build, love your projects..
Vasily this is awesome! I'm using the same exact engine in my build. If you're looking for reverse you could probably swap out to one of the newer Polaris engines with PERC, kicks the engine backwards for reverse. For parts check out Hudsons Sled Salvage based out of Barneveld NY!
That's cool that HeyBike sent you a nice ride to test and use.I was actually remembering back when I started following you was when you were building yourself a gas bike.Weird coincidence.I was trying to recall what you did with it.The 4x4 is looking pretty tough, and you'll have it ready for paint in no time.
Anti-rock makes swaybars for jeeps. I've seen it's designed used on the Sierra Alpha kart and on some trophy karts. It's a pretty simple design. It lets the suspension flex and it reduces body roll at higher speeds. Might help tighten things up and make your ride a little safer and perform better.
Search for a Polaris snowmobile with PERC reverse! Change the stator, flywheel and cdi box. Push button reverse then! Engine runs backwards when in reverse with these components. Make sure you get the wiring harnesses from the donor snowmobile
Oh hell yeah. This is a nice project. Keep going bro. You're close to having your own fabrication shop and doing big shit, your resume is impressive already.
I’d suggest twin pipes and a jaws can for that crisp snowmobile sound, do a oil pump delete as the tuning will be very tricky to make sure it won’t blow up, cuz your gas is your oil and the engine was made for cold temp, a new ecu will make your life a lot easier!! Good vid
Besides into the crankcases, those engines have an oil feed on the main crank bearing on the load (clutch) side so, if a guy doesn't want to burn up that bearing, he still need to run the oil pump. The oil pump works fine on my buggy, it works for me, I run it in hot weather. I run a big radiator and I run a cold 150 thermostat on a big cooling fan since it is a snowmobile engine.
@VasilyBuilds I actually use the stock thermostat, I meant thermostat sensor fan switch. I added another thermostat switch to run a relay that turns on the cooling fan. Just google 150 degree cooling fan switch.
Love this build. I just picked up one just like it and want to similar mods. You just lit the fire. Thanks for the video! Looking forward to this series
Perfect engine for the build the liberty 700 and 800 are great choices!!! 👍🏼 love it!!!🔥❤️ it was so cool seeing you up here in Minnesota!! Great content 👌🏼
hey just so you know in the future really any post 2004 snowmobile has a 95% chance of having some form of electronic reverse cpabilities it basically shuts down the motor and kicks it in reverse and boom your going backwards without any extra gear boxes etc. you can find full sleds for less then 800 bucks and part out what you don't use to get your money back but its my go to for power plants for anything i build i also use old polaris trail boss or xplorer set ups as they have gear boxes and disc brakes mounted right to them
@@VasilyBuilds most of the reverse i've seen online with snowmobiles was through the chain case so i'm excited to see a different way. Either way i'll keep watching
If you wanted reverse you get a later model engine that has the electronic reverse. You just hit a button and it spins the motor backwards you just need the secondary clutch off that same sled.
Ho doggy do dar,bro it’s gona be insane, the stance looks nice and squat now you extend them arms, the engine is perfect ,definitely going to need some sort of reverse ,and a place for the fuel tank ,I think your going to need quite a big tank as well, for extended fun 😉your not going to want come in bro ,you’ll be slip sliding that monster about and enjoying so much the time will fly ,nearly as quick as the buggy😁
vasily you may be able to get a different ecu and have reverse. i have a 01 polaris 700 that someone installed reverse on. change the ecu and the helix in the wsecondary
Keep up the good work love the videos an projects you do. I think that's a good engine platform to start with for a fun toy like that. And yes I'd put a back up gas engine on the E-bike just because it's funny. I'd like to see someone that does these types of builds use a harley power plant engine and gearbox an so on to make a fun off road cart like that! It would have plenty of torque for four wheel drive too was just a thought that popped in my head Watching this an I know red beard did one but he doesn't have it and it's not four wheel drive and used a sportster motor is a cool cart for sure but Id like to see 4x4 an long travel suspension sry for the rant awesome job tho keep it up!
On the battery bicycle valisy builds but a engine on it at well and still have the battery on it so it'll be 3 in one bicycle pedal, battery or gas powered as well in one bicycle idea for you
The joke about hitting a house at double the speed was hilarious in a dark humor way 😂 I’d like to see you do a street build. Something the size of a Miata but a full tube chassis and using a car drivetrain. I would say use everything from a Miata but those are WAY to expensive nowadays. That would be a sick build
I had a mini cycle when I was in the 5 th grade. The engine blew up so my dad put a JLo engine in it. It was a 25 Hp snowmobile engine. It was FASTTTTTTT. 0-80 now. I had a blast 💥 on it. I sold the engine and bought a 175 Kawasaki dirt bike. My mini cycle was way quicker.
Dude I wish I had the money to buy one of these builds specifically the 4x4 unit absolutely my dream ride sounds cliche lol but it’s a small frame buggy that I could take to the trails with the boys on the 4 wheelers and be able to keep up and be able to sit down comfortably
What I use is a Polaris transmission, it will go with your clutch, it has reverse, but the downside is it's an automatic. I use these in almost all my 4wd/awd go-karts and buggies.
I can't get on board with this project. Why start with a complete frame then cut 90% of it out? You may as well have started with the Yamaha sxs and did an engine swap.
@VasilyBuilds nice! Thanks for that, I've been looking for some for my v-twin project 4-seat buggy but don't wanna spend Fox prices... these seem pretty affordable 🤔!
