      @@TheGoldmansChannel I've been working and getting as much gold as possible on my days off.
      Personally I can't complain and it wouldn't do me any good to complain. I moved to the Pacific Northwest Coast of Oregon. This place is full of gold and platinum ores. So much hasn't been discovered here yet. I am out searching for the next Big strike one weekend at a time.
      It was good to see you and your super chipmunk upgraded 👍

    Great video Mr Goldman. Last addition will be to gaurd that pulley and belt.
    Im lucky enough to have a 3"x 10" commercial jaw crusher and a home made 400mm diameter chain mill.
    This equipment makes processing so much quicker and easier. Good explanation around speeds and gearing.
    Belts do come in metric sizes also..
    Now waiting on your next one😊
    I take it your vibe feeder will have single screen into the ball mill with the overs screened off for recirculation through the jaw.

      Close but not quite,
      jaw crusher > hopper > vib feeder > impact mill, with any oversized being recirculated through the ballmill loop until its of the correct partical size 🤟🏿🤟🏿🤟🏿

    I think that it is brilliant. I watched the videos from when you were building it. And out of curiosity I also did a quick check for what a commercial jaw crusher would cost, and the commercial jaw crushers are crazy expensive. So if you have the materials, the tools, and the skills then it makes perfect sense to build your own jaw crusher. If I had to make a final adjustment then I would weld some beads on the jaws from the crusher over the entire width with 5 millimeter spacing between the weld beads with some very hard alloy welding rods, and the beads should run from top to bottom on the jaws. The ridges from the weld beads would relieve some force from the motor because the contact point with the rocks would be much smaller, and I think that the crushing would go a little faster, and it might also crush the rocks a little smaller. Especially if the weld beads on each jaw are fitting in each others "teeth" like for illustration purposes a gear would do. The gear example is a bit of an exaggeration, but you know what I mean. A big 👍 for your ingenuity.

      Hey Tuna! Good to hear from you. You're very correct about the pricing of pre fabbed jaw crushers, they're quite expensive! I did some rough maths, and even if I had to buy a brand new GX270 with a reduction box on it, and purchase all materials brand new, I reckon the total cost would still come in at less than $2000. So those with basic skills, could absolutely save themselves a heap of money on a build like this.
      I may run a few beads of weld up the faces one day, it would help for sure. Just looks a little messy. Couldn't look any worse than my welding on that flywheel though, could it! 😆

    Hey mate does the toggle plate rest against the 40mm eccentric portion of the bar? And the springs help retain its contact after doing a throw forward? Love the whole setup mate, you going to move some ground soon?

      Good morning mate! Thanks for watching, and dropping a question/comment. The toggle bar sits in the bottom of the moving jaw to allow the whole moving jaw free movement in a slight rotational action. Toggle bars just give it a solid point of attachment at the bottom, the top of the moving jaw is fixed solid to the centre pillow block bearings that make the jaw move in that motion.       Pleasure mate 👍🏿. I have so far, yes. I'm not sure how many tonnes I've put through the crusher now, but there's is zero signs of wear in those 4 pillow blocks or bearings yet. I've been told there are sturdier pillow blocks available also, but I can't remember their details. So far, so good, with these ones anyway.

    hi fella always good to see what your up to, l got a question for you in regards to your trommel. mainly because l like the look and build of yours. my question is about the trommel drum roller chain sprocket, looked via the net but can't seem to find anything near that size. l have a good reduction right angle drive unit and chains engine not a problem, have thought of going flat tooth drive belt direct to trommel barrel but is slip going to be a problem. any advise would be of help

      G'day Rod, I'm sorry that I missed your comment until now. Great question, I assumed the teeth that are on the external of my trommel barrel were purchased in a long strip, that was then rolled around the barrell and welded on. But I can't find any such strip of teeth availible? So where the heck did the maker get the stuff he used on mine?
      Belts directly over top of the barrel with the engine and gearbox supplying gravity tension is usually a goer also. If you look back at any of my crushing videos, you will see that is how my ball mill is driven. No slippage there, unless things seriously jam up. Like really jam up. The thing will still rip your arm off without batting an eye lid 🤣
