- These are things you need to know before you go to Lancaster Uni from picking your college to what type of bedding you need! These are some of the things I wish I knew before coming to Lancaster Uni, if you have any questions at all, no matter how stupid you might think they are, feel free to comment or DM me and i'll be happy to answer based on my personal experience at Lancaster!

Love hearing the differences and similarities between US and UK colleges. My first college was a private engineering school and getting a roommate scared me the most. I ended up having a single connected room and we had a shower room for our entire unit. So it was nice being able to keep the connecting door closed to have privacy. After my first year in the dorm I moved into a fraternity house, and that, my friend, was a much different living experience! 😂😂
Thankfully roommates aren’t common here! I’d be so scared ahahah
are hair straightener and hair dryer allowed? and do you know any international students who stayed in these accomodations??
How's the weather in lancaster university? Is it too cold to stay?? And BTW, this is a really helpful video for those who are new to UK!!😍
Thank you! The weather varies really with the coldest being -1 to about 2 degrees Celsius in the winter time. There can be snow some years but there is a lot of rain! Just make sure you have a warm coat and an umbrella and you should be okay!

hello, I just received my unconditional letter from lancaster , just want to know if it's worth studying in lancaster for a huge fees, and also is it best to stay in hostel or outside university
It's best to stay in university or student accommodation rather than a hostel. It depends what you want to study and where Lancaster ranks for that :)

How do I get a parking permit for my car? And do they let you park your car outside your accommodation and drive around to where you need to be?

Yep! That’ll be fine as long as you keep it in the kitchen :)
Is there like a space for underbed storage under the bed in the room?
Yep there’s storage under the beds you usually have to lift the mattress up and it’s under there
