Mandell has the size and athleticism to play either spot. But he's coming from a triple-option system that never passed the ball. So he's got some learning to do there and it would seem being on an island at tackle is more difficult than guard. I think getting time there says the staff thinks very highly of him, his versatility and his future.
QB is a big-time worry. I have almost no confidence in TDV or Locke. We're talking ourselves into believing that TVD can be the guy, but I don't think so. He's not been around long enough to fully grasp the offense or get in rhythm with his offense teammates and he's been really inconsistent in recent years. If they can't run the ball really, really well this year, it'll be a very long season.
No. We said we think there are a ton of guys running with the third team that will play significant roles during their time at UW. Was making the point we believe there is more talent across the roster than in past seasons.
Great coverage guys.
So what's harder....OG or OT? If you think someone is going to be an OG, but is moved to OT, is that a promotion or demotion?

I disagree. I think TVD can get us at least 7 wins and most likely 8 wins.
QB should be better than last year at least. TM was a good runner, but the offense as a whole should be significantly better this year.
Or is our offensive line just that flipping good
Jackson has a major league arm, but H backs don’t throw
So you guys are under the thought that because a player is a redshirt freshman on 3rd string they'll never play??
