In 1983, India was portrayed as one of the weakest teams in wc but the world cup is always won by impactful performances like 175 by Kapil dev, yashpal sharma man of the match in semi final and final also(India lost 2 matches also in 1983 wc) Same goes for Aus. 201 by Maxi lifted the team morale and Ultimately won the lost match which completely changed their campaign. 177 by Marsh, 163 by Warner, 140 by Head and his all round performance in Semi final stamped the authority of Champions for Australia. For India it was all about Kohli and Shami only.(if they didnt perform exceptionally we couldnt have won semi final also against NZ). So as an Indian fan, I accept that the we were 2nd best very proudly where many teams competed.☺. We will always root our team even if they lose or win. 2025 champions trophy and 2027 wc💓 bring it home.

When India lost the cup, I was devestated. I mean literally, I cried myself to sleep, barely ate, and was quiet for the two days after our loss. Soon, I realized I shouldn't be sad, but proud of my beautiful, amazing India. Mohammed Shami, for his 24 wickets, the highest of the tournament, Virat Kohli, or the most runs, ever, at any world cup, and his 50 centuries. Shubman Gill, (use to be) number 1 ODI ranked bastman, Mohommad Siraj (used to be) number 1 ranked bastmen. Ravindra Jadeja, our star, the best fielder in the world. Every single player played such a crucial role. So, instead of being sad, let us be proud of our country. Love from the US.
