Walking onions are the easiest thing to grow. But once you start growing the onions, you’ll see they’re fairly easy to and for some people sets work better than seedlings or starts.😊❤️
Great 👍 video lots of great information. I will be planting onions as soon as possible. I have to grow mine in pots I am in my 80s and can't do a lot now but I still love to get in the dirt and grow what I can home grown is always best. God bless 🙏 you for all you videos.
Learned alot from your onion video, Robbie. Last years onion crop was replanted by our little gardener squirrels - tulle and all - in the middle of the lawn. 🤣 🥰
Hi Robbie! Great video thanks for sharing! Your dog 🐕 loves broccoli 🥦 you can also grow your own garlic especially when in the house in a bowl they sprout out of the bulbs you can plant them in pots and probably dish pans too ! And they would grow !
I had a beautiful start of onion sprouts growing and my dog decided to dig the dirt out of the container. I decided not to try again, but seeing yours from bulbs I may try again. I really would like to get some onions this year. Yours look beautiful.
Great info on the onions. I'm going to try your chair and tote system, since I don't know much about gardening. Do you check the tote for food grade plastic... I think you talked about that...?
I do, but I will be honest most of the totes have been a 2 or 5 number and those are fine to be growing in, I have not seen a bad tote, yet as far as plastic to grow it❤
Hi Robbie! I just saw Ryan Hall, Y'all on UA-cam. He shows a LOT of storms coming your way by middle to end of next week. I know you folks need the rain, but this may be a bunch! You may want to check his channel out for info. Be safe and stay well☺️ Kate M.
I will check it out, we’ve had so much rain that you can’t even walk in the backyard where cars are parked it’s underwater. Hope it is lighter in rain this week, 😊 thanks
Do you do anything to the tops to make the bulb grow? What kind of onion were those that you snipped the top off? We don't have much luck with the sets we've tried twice and they stay small.
I use my yogurt bowl. Put holes in the top one. I just planted purple onion, white onions from those containers. So happy that my Lord and Savior let me find you guys. 🙏
Thanks Robbie. I've never had success growing from seed directly outside. I often forget about them. So I think I will try your way in containers so I can keep an eye on them. I've had great success with Dixondale starts though.
First, you need to find out why they’re coming in, and what they’re coming in for. But I’ve put a container with some food that they like in it, on the Kitchen counter and when they all go to that I put a cap on it and take them all outside.
Your onions are beautiful! I am so glad you made this video because we eat a lot of onions and I plan on planting several. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us! 🧅 🙂
I love green onions and onions! For me best way to grow them seems to be from sets the way you are showing us! Thank you again Robbie ❣️Please be safe🙏✨
I am rewatching. It is onion planting time in Texas. I am allergic to onions but I can grow them very well for family and friends.
Sounds great! A fun great tasting onion to grow 😊❤️ Your family and friends should love it
Thanks Robbie, these are the best instructions for planting onions. I haven’t been that successful with the exception of walking onions. Cheers!✨🌷💚

Go for it I bought 3 different seeds and all have sprouted the sets never worked for me never developed right.

Oh no! Dogs do seem to like to get into growing onions. Try an elevated container
Thanks so much for this cheery upbeat vlog! Just what I needed 🙂 I even took notes.
I'm so glad! 😊 Thank You
I have never had much success with onions, haven't given up trying, but as many as we use I'd need a LOT more space!
Start small you might be surprised once you start how much you can grow 😊❤️
HayNew Year ! 🌷🎊🙏🏡🌲
Thank you and you have a wonderful 2023 too ❤😊
Planted my sets a little over a month ago. They're loving this cool, rainy weather we've been getting in the Inland Empire.
I am with you I planted some over a month ago too and they’re doing fantastic. Thanks for sharing.

No apologies. I like most of your videos better than Hallmark movies.
Oh My Goodness 😊❤️ Thank You
I had forgot a few of these. Glad you made this. Was taught this but been a while.
Glad I can remind you of things you knew 😊❤️🌱
Hi from South Africa 🇿🇦,I’m a little confused when you talk about sets,if you can explain please, thanks so much.

Are you guys gonna be ok in the storms that are coming? Stay safe Robbie
We got through them really good but everything is soaking wet. You can barely drive the car in the backyard all under water 😮thanks ❤
I use my yogurt bowl. Put holes in the top one. I just planted purple onion, white onions from those containers. So happy that my Lord and Savior let me find you guys. 🙏
Oh thank you so much 😊❤
Does the onion tops need to be trimmed for the onion to bulb?

Nice Robbie! Thanks for the knowledge!😃👍
Hey to Miss Kitty!💕
Our pleasure! Thank you ❤😊
how can I get rid of knats in my kitchen?
First, you need to find out why they’re coming in, and what they’re coming in for. But I’ve put a container with some food that they like in it, on the Kitchen counter and when they all go to that I put a cap on it and take them all outside.

Hey Backyard 👋
What's up
Can I ask you a question ...?
Idk if I've given up on onions but I definitely have yet to figure them out
Try container garden ❤
I heard if you pick an onion from your garden and cut it up that day, it won't get you tearied eyed.
Not sure on that. It will depend on how strong the onion this, but could be.😊
Your onions are beautiful! I am so glad you made this video because we eat a lot of onions and I plan on planting several. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us! 🧅 🙂
You are so welcome! ❤
I was always intimidated to grow onions but leave it to you to simplify and boost confidence!!! I’m getting some seeds today!! 😃👍🏼🧅🧅🧅
