Thanks Todd!! I couldn't figure out how to get the battery cover off and was concerned that I might damage the keypad trying to get it off. Your video explained things very well.
Thanks Todd, You just saved me $70 The installer put a sticker with his company's phone covering the joint between the pad and the battery access cover so I couldn't remove it myself.
Thank you. I really was feeling blonde I couldn't get the plastic open and didn't know what kind of battery I needed. You are so thorough. And I am so grateful! An example of Thanksgiving perhaps.🙂
Thanks so much for this video. It is the most informative one I’ve seen. I’m ready to tackle the task of replacement. I’m also thrilled that I will be saving money. Thanks again!😎
Thank you for this video. I can not find the Eveready black & red, super heavy duty 9 volt battery, which came with my Liftmaster keypad, anywhere. Do I have to use a super heavy duty 9 volt? Does it have to be by Eveready? Thank You, Patty
I put brand new 9V in and lights work but still wont open door , do I need to reprogram new code ? Looked for link below you mentioned to another video but didn't see one , lmk thanks !!
Interesting that I had an Ever Ready battery that needed replacing. I tried a Duracell, but it didn't work. I tried an Energizer battery and it worked first time. The Duracell was new, but I have no idea how long it was in storage. If you have more than one type, and one doesn't work, then maybe try the other brand. It's worth a try,
After changing the battery I cannot get the battery compartment cover back on. The 2 catches at the bottom will not lock in no matter how hard I press on the center of the cover. I almost took my rubber mallot to the entire keypad this evening. I finally gave up and took the new battery out and the compartment still won't close.
Hello there! Unfortunately the battery of my key pad was oxidated and a little piece of metal got stuck in the wire when I pushed it out. How can I solve this problem?
First time my keypad stopped working about a week ago. Backlight works but hoping the battery is just weak. Ordered batteries on Amazon Prime Day, hopefully it just the batteries.
Great video! I have that exact same keypad. You make it look easy to simply push out the cover. I had to use the flathead to do that - perhaps my hands are weaker than yours. Tried putting a 9V in it, but it wasn't working. Is that the correct type of battery, or do I need a special type of high-powered 9V? Perhaps my battery was dead, because I was storing it for a very long time.
Hi Don, thanks for watching, I am not sure what might be wrong with yours unfortunately, but I hope you are able to get it fixed. If it was me, I would try a brand new 9V battery to see if that worked.
Spiders, and if you work on anything electrical that you did not personally install assume all wires are at least 120 they may be worked on by others who hooked it up wrong
Hi and thanks for watching! If the battery didn't fix the keypad, the next thing I would try is to create a new pin for the keypad to see if that works. I have a video of that in my LiftMaster playlist if you are interested in watching. Good luck, hope you get it figured out.
I used a hammer and screwdriver on this stupid battery door and it still won’t come off. I guess it’s getting torn off the wall and replaced. Terrible design.
thanks for the help i didnt wanna break the wire when removing the battery and it was SO hard to open the keypad without ur help!!!

After putting in the key pad does it clear the code?
I have the same question

In what case you could damage your eyes or get electrocuted by replacing a 9V battery?

Excellent
Great thanks

My keypad won’t work after a power outage….any ideas why?
Thank u…
Great video but the gloves and goggle ? 😅 😊
You don't have to reset the code or anything it will remember the current code even after unplugging the
After changing my battery my garage door key is not working 😕. Will I need to reset a new password 🙃? I'm Clueless about this stuff 🙄
