- To me, the TTI Pit Viper is an absolute grail gun. I'm 23 years old, working a decent job, but it's gonna be a decade or so before I can justify to my wife spending $7-10k on a pistol. So instead of waiting that long, I decided to make my own purpose built 2011. I call it, the S**t Viper.

Pro tip that i learned today. Buy your mags straight from checkmate! Only $62. And thats who makes staccato mags.
There’s afew pvd coatings I offer for down the rd to give u that option.

Bought my 4.25 Prodigy last week of December. I was told by serial number that mine was produced in May of 2023. I have about 700 rounds through it and the only malfunction has been one failure to lock open on a 17 round mag. I love this gun !!!!! I am not rich and I am at best an average shooter, but this gun is so accurate and shoots so flat !!!! I added an Olight PL-3, EGW extended slide catch and magwell. I went out on a limb because I am a Holosun fanboy and tried the new Cyelee Wolf X Pro. The Cylee was a big surprise. It has worked flawlessly. The multi-reticle and the size of the glass are really great. Great video and very cool Prodigy !!!! 🙂

I just purchased a 4.25 prodigy knowing very little about it and onyl going based off the way it felt in my hands. Started looking for mods and came across your channel and boy am i happy i did!!! You have my subscription and i will follow along to see what else the future brings for your prodigy! Keep up the good work man!

Great video! Fellow Minnesotan here and new to the gun world myself. I am still deciding what 2011 I’d like to get, you may have convinced me to go down the Springfield Prodigy route!

I got Prodigy a few months ago, I wanted the 5 inch and got one. It's been 100% so far. I only have around 500 rounds down range but at this point good to go. I also wait when new guns hit the market and let other people find out if there's any flaws or hick ups. Just like the Echelon seems ok but there's some having mag problems. I will wait a few months or longer before I dive in and get one.
Fellow Korean gun enthusiast here! Born in Seoul, but adopted by white parents when i was 1. I currently reside in N. Idaho, and luckily, this red state still allows for 30 rd + mags, unlike some of my Washington state friends! What state are you in?

How’s it goin marksman? Fellow Skips Gunz customer here. If you have Skip do his copper PVD coating on your barrel, and have DNA Firearms DLC your slide (only $60) 🎉 and then just take some mothers polish to the rails on your frame, to smooth them out and make them shine…then your gun will do fine with a lighter recoil spring and air rack for you 😉 and yes, be reliable and shoot flat still. DLC is only a couple microns thick, as is PVD, so you shouldn’t have the tolerance problems you do now. Ceracote is very thick in comparison. Polishing the inside of the slide before sending it to be coated would hurt either. The slicker the better. Very nice Wick stick though brother 😎 like Skip says, Believe and Achieve, and you have! 👍🏻👍🏻 very nice 🔫

Was able to buy it 20% off in my local currency (PHP) so around 110k, cheapest 2011 that isn’t a Rock Island, hope its worth it. Was able to rent a 5” and it shot good so I have high hopes that its a later production Prodigy.

Got my 5 prodigy. I am assuming its already the second generation. no issues at all runs pretty well and shoot fast and accurate.

Enjoyed the content, I’ve considered building my own but think I’d piece it together from the ground up. Using cheely gunworks for slide, frame and handle. Egw for internals, and for my own personal touch plus any kinda gunsmithing use DSC gunworks

The Prodigy has always been a solid tinkering 2011 platform. The people that know this will go far. Everyone who says this gun sucks and you can't depend your life on it... shouldn't buy this gun because it is definitely not for you.
