Brilliant compositions, incredible instrumentation, powerful vocals - perfection.
The dual-guitar section of the solo has to be one of the most epic sections of any guitar 'solo' ever - the pick tapping/sweep section in perfect harmony is insane!!!! What a guitar duo M&M are... and the rest of the band is pretty decent too! And yes, Lovebites is a live band that record albums... not the other way round. Crushing. More live tracks will cement them as a favorite forever🤘🎸🐺
Yeah I'd say the same thing about the dual solo section.. arpeggio sweep then pick tapping in harmonized is insane, man...
I hear Testament in those gallops. Definitely a thrash masterpiece. Imagine this being written in the 80s. They are 1000% epicness every song. Thank you for reacting to my favorite band ever! These ladies' technical precision is unmatched. Love your in-depth analysis and it only gets better!! 🤘

I love how they've got an Iron Maiden gallop driving a thrash song. Their abilty to fuse metal sub-genres seamlessly is amazing.

The M&M show in all their glory and the band was insanely good this night despite COVID (less than 50% capacity, social distancing, no singing, yelling and only clapping allowed). These petite women who wear their femininity proudly yet turn into metal goddesses once they hit the stage in heels and gowns. BTW Miyako on the dimebag Dean was 4/5 months pregnant at the time of the show!!!!!

Thanks for your expert analysis of one of the finest (if not the finest!) metal band playing in the world today. I only discovered them last year, but they are now my favourite band. They all have such immense talent, precision in their playing and incredible intensity of the musical sound they create. Miyako(dark haired guitarists) is also a wonderful classical pianist - how can she be so proficient on both instruments? Answer: She is a musical genius. I will see them play live in London this summer as part of their forthcoming world tour.
Easily the best metal band today! They deserve global recognition as such. It would be a tragedy if the few of us who discovered them are not enough, whereas perhaps they move on to other endeavors due to lack of support.

As you say、everytime they can play live this level．Their live performance is super high quality．Those who know them praise them．But、too many people don’t know about their existence．Even in japan 、almost people don’t know them．They need more promotion．They need more live opportunities、world-wide．
Hell yes. The Queens of metal show you what happens when one of the most talented metal bands ever decides to try some old school thrash. I grew up on Metallica, Megadeth, Pantera, etc. These 5 ladies are part of a revival of old school metal in Japan. The talent on display technically is mind boggling. These musicians grew up listening to the awesome metal that was in my childhood. The dark haired guitar player, Miyako listed Dimebag Darrel and Kirk Hammett as two of her top five guitar influences. That second solo of hers after the twin lead section was all wah pedal and it definitely inspired by Kirk. Only your second song from them, but you will find that they can play power metal, thrash, speed, prague metal, symphonic etc. They are unbounded but unbelievably talented. One of the great joys in listening to them is the way they blend genres and write with an eye towards the history of what made metal great. They are a living tribute to the all the great metal bands I grew up on, yet they are their own as well. Soldier Stands will blow your mind all over again.
They are phenomenal. Midori & Miayko are among the best dual guitarists I've heard since the 80's. Dive deeper, they just get more impressive.

Pretty much every song is worth listening too, but I'd recommend "A Frozen Serenade" or "Swan Song" (with Chopin intro) next to add some range to what you've heard so far. "Nameless Warrior", "MDO" and "Hammer of Wrath" also go pretty hard. "Burden of Time" and "Raise Some Hell" are two of my favorites.

In the beginning Thrash Metal was called Power Metal, Metallica was called power metal back in the early 80's, nowadays Lovebites put the power in metal with a thrashy sound!

What's crazy is Miyako is about 6 months pregnant in this video
The only true godz of thrash metal are Metallica and Megadeth everything else was mere cheap copycats that had the worst vocals, so for anyone to compare Lovebites to slayer, anthrax, or testament doesn't know what they are talking about. Besides one of Miyako's influences is Kirk Hammet and both Midori and Miyako spoke of James Hetfield as well on Rock Fukiyama show. If anything the ladies of Lovebites are now the Queens of thrash metal and everything else. I wish people would stop saying that they are so much better than the studio, if you haven't heard the audio albums or CDs then you don't have anything to claim. It is very discouraging for the band when new ears hear that and only go and buy the live CDs and not the studio albums, this is not supporting the band downright
