    I grew up in the country, climbing trees, building a fort in the woods, playing hide and seek in a corn field, the fun we had as children was endless. I still live in the country and would not change a thing. I enjoyed this video and meeting both Adam's. Thanks Mike!

      I love the country. My wife and I bought my parents house when they moved to Arizona. I remember when I was a teenager renting the movie "Children Of The Corn" and then trying to get my brothers and sisters to play hide and seek in the corn field next door. LMAO, I guess you know that didn't happen any more.

    My first firewood channel was Outdoors With The Morgans only because I searched ‘growing grass in the shade’. Since then, I’ve subscribed to Joe’s Ohio Wood Burner and Adam’s Hometown Acres. I enjoy watching you all ‘work’, but the quality of life content is the real ‘why’ I stay tuned. 👊🏻

    • @foreverbrownsfan
      @foreverbrownsfan 3 роки тому +2

      @@Pure_KodiakWILD_Power - I actually had a landscaper use a special piece of equipment to plant under the soil. More sophisticated than a slit seeder. I lost about 70% of the beautiful grass from the spring, but will over seed next spring. That’s pretty much what Mike’s advice was......you have to keep attending to it each year. I went from bare ground , so I’m pleased.

    I found Mike when I was researching RK tractors and trying to decide what I wanted and needed. Kept watching and learned about using the tools, etc. I found Adam when I started researching Kioti tractors. Ended up buying a Kioti CK2610HST. Ive learned a lot from both of you and thank you for your contribution to the UA-cam community. I probably won't start a firewood business but learning how to manage my little 4.5 acre wooded lot. Thanks guys!

    We live on 30 acres ,really did not get full appreciation for the land untill I got into cutting firewood for my outside wood boiler. What may seem to some to be a chore , to me , has become a part of my life that not only sustains my warm home and healthy lifestyle it gives me peace and and stability in a world that sometimes seems turned upside down.

      Same here. I bought a place with 25 acres of hardwood forest in France (hornbeam and oak, with an overgrown hazel understory). It was so nice to see two of my favorite UA-cam channel people together. Made me feel good about my choices. I would love to hear your thoughts on the Eastonmade Axis. That is the wood splitter we are buying next. I like the upright posture positioning so it doesn’t hurt my back like the one we have and I like the precise way you can cut wood without the waste. I know you are partial to Wolf Ridge and understandably so. But that Axis is a game changer in my opinion.

    I'm right there with you guys about being close with nature. I grew up with a forest as my playground. Most every free moment I was in the woods, I had 2 treehouses one big rock fort and we dug out about a 15 foot long section of the creek near a tall bank so we could jump off bank and at the other side we had a rope where we could swing out and drop in. We, my brother, my cousin and 3 other guys, neighbors, all close to same age did a lot of camping also. It is really rewarding being away from trespassing in yards, traffic on roads, confined fenced in yards...to be out in the wide open forest is amazing. So many things to do. Grown up now there aren't many open forest close in Hickory, it's really crowded now so vacation time...the beach - 5 hr drive, hot, crowded, expensive...no thanks...30 min to 1 hr we are in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. No better place in the world! My children still take their families up there, my oldest son even bought a big camper and keeps it set up there in the Daniel Boone Campgrounds. Mike, you inspire so many people, more than you know, I'm sure. And none of the UA-cam work is a have to, you're doing it because you enjoy it and by that you bring so much pleasure literally around the world! Thank you my friend. We've never met in person, but I see you every day, and you just are my friend! Absolutely love your channel, Melissa's channel, and Levi and Kate's channel. Forever subscribed! 👍❤

    It is a great feeling to be out in the country and suck in a breath of real air while you look at the sky and the trees. I noticed neither of you park the dump trailers in the up position. I think a 4x4 about four feet long, between the bed and the frame will give you enough lift, but it will still be low enough to be stable when its parked, especially if it points to the sun, its usually empty and dry when you hook it up. The 4x4 prop takes all the pressure off the cylinder.

    Just bought 4 totes today here in North Carolina for firewood. Thought that would be a great way to separate and store different kinds of wood - oak, hickory, cherry, etc. The gentleman I got mine from cut openings in both sides and left the top ring in place for support. I am sure there are many ways to configure them for firewood storage.

    When you were with Adam and he talked about how you changed his life and him moving out of the city, I had to kind of laugh. I am originally from a small town and then moved out to a farm. Upon graduating high school, I joined the navy and later ended up in San Diego. I knew when I retired, I would return home in Missouri. Dealing with all of the traffic and crime of San Diego. I now laugh with my friends in San Diego when we talk about traffic. The only traffic problem I incurred here in Missouri since moving back is right before the state fair, the highway patrol were escorting three tractors across one of the two main roadways of the town. I actually had to sit for one cycle of the traffic light as they escorted the tractors across the roadway. The air is cleaner, the people are friendlier and if you ever need help, someone is always there.

    I don’t know how he was using that toyota, but I used to process 20 cord a year with a Tacoma and previously older pickups. I even towed a f450 from a power line right of way. By far the toughest trucks pound for pound, just limited with their size. Great videos, wish I had time to film and post!

    I let my dad spend the green on most the motorized toys while growing up ... I did split the costs of our 1965 IH tractor as I mowed lawns in the hood so i could buy cars 🚘 and 🚗 and motorcycles 🏍 I still have his blue and white Homelite XL 12 saw, just no trees to cut down on our small lot. Here’s to 2021 being a better year for the Morgan’s and all of us that have or used to have a similar life style.

    This was a good one Mike. Up here in NH we get a lot more snow and at our camp up near the Canadian border we get smacked. I cut a lot of wood on other peoples property taking down scary stuff. Like keeping an eye on you and Adam I'll be watching you also. Stay safe and make 2021 a great year!!!

    I couldn't agree more with the 'closer to nature' comment. I purchased a lot across from my father-in-law in Eastern PA (I live in NYC), and I look forward to spending my off days clearing land and cutting firewood with him to make room for an Amish-built garage I am having delivered. I own a home in Alabama with a two story shed/barn, and I thoroughly enjoyed working in it when I lived there. Don't get me wrong... I enjoy my indoor desk job, but that's not my hobby. It pays the bills. Being in the woods is my ultimate enjoyment and I love playing with the 'toys' that go along with the work.

    I have a half ton pick-up that I have hauled 3500 lbs. 260 miles. That is more than I ever hauled in my 3/4 ton. I did have to stop two times to adjust the air in the rear tires because they began to overheat and gain air pressure.

As for me I’ll watch it change over to rain while enjoying coffee and then head to the Stihl store in the big heavy Suburban. Stay safe, be humble & kind and Have a day.

    Mike Morgan has SAVED me THOUSANDS of hours AND dollars! I was gonna start a UA-cam channel, but through some parallel universe magic, every time I have a project to do, something to fix, a road to fix, a pipe to bury, a deer blind to build, etc.... all I have to do is wait a couple weeks and, sure enough, Mike puts out a video about nearly the exact same thing. This channel is like a Godsend, saves me hours and hours of filming and editing time, thousands of DOLLARS of video equipment, drones, whatever.....AND here is the real kicker: I ALREADY had a pool! Life couldn't possibly be better, and Outdoors With the Morgans is partially to blame for it. Lol...
