Just bought a used 2013 Rubicon with a 3 inch lift that floats all over the road, and this is very helpful! I had it aligned, which helped a bit, but I'm convinced I need longer control arms.

Between my long arms, well balanced tires, and precision alignment, my 4.5” lifted JLUR on 40’s rides as smooth as silk.
PS: That’s actually MY Jeep in the opening still of the video when Outlaw Offroad (Huntsville) aligned me. First JL on the new rack! 😎

Yours was the coolest looking picture we had of a JL on the alignment rack, so we had to use it! Glad its still riding great!

How about Caster on a JKU with AEV 3.5 dual sport kit with relocation brackets. Still go with 5.5? I’m at 4.2 and steering feels floaty. Thank you

we typically try to push caster as much as we can without sacrificing pinion angle. Typically this lands around 5.5-7 degrees

Everytime I hit anything on the highway or roads my Jeep yanks to the right. Brand new Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T 37x12.5 R17. 2017 JKU 5.5" Long Arm BDS Lift. I've had it a month. It has BDS dual steering assist.

Definitely watch our video on steering stabilizers and steering! Sounds like you have a bad case of bump steer though. With that high of a lift, you will need a drag link flip and raised track bar on the axle end to keep the drag link and track bar parallel. Dual steering stabilizers are not needed.
If you are near an Outlaw Offroad location we'd be more than happy to take a look for you and make sure thats what you need!

@@TheOutlawOffroad man I appreciate the intel. I had a truss and gusset set installed and the shop set my caster. Much better now.

People that feel the need to do this stuff to make their home town mechanic have to learn to be an expert at such things should have to pay thousands and thousands more if you want Cadillac ride from a god damn log wagon

No we usually learn these things through trial and error and work on them ourselves. If we do need professional help we take them to a Jeep specialist. I don't expect just any yahoo to know the ins and outs of these vehicles anymore than I would trust them to work on my Ferrari.
And just because it's a lifted Jeep with bigger tires doesn't mean they shouldn't ride and drive just as good as a stock one.

We aren’t taking our jeeps to you local hacks

A lifted jeep doesnt have to ride like garbage. With the proper alignment and knowledge we get these things riding incredible even with 40"+ tires. We DONT expect your local shop to know this, and that is why we exist as a jeep and 4x4 specialist shop. The same reason you don't take a high end sports car to Joe Blows Radiator for performance upgrades.
