      abdul Maalin More like 44-46. At 48, his head would have to be over the rim by 2 inches. I have yet to see Dennis' head AT rim level on ANY of his dunk attempts.

      SniperHunter 48 Last year here at Puerto Rico he got signed on 2017. We needed a 3PT shooter who was athletic. My vaqueros gave him a shot in the team, total mistake. He was playing such a bad basketball, he couldn’t defend the smallest guards in the league and since he was so thin the small forwards destroyed him as easy as killing an ant, it was ridiculous. He shooting wasn’t great so for his last ten games the coach got tired of him and sit him on the bench with only like 2 minutes per game. Players like Von Wafer, and Sam Young are out there but we did not got them. We got eliminated vs Fajardo with one of the best teams in the league, but I guess that after we got rid of Stephens we got Jordan Hamilton, another mistake. If an NBA team signs him, they are stupid, he doesn’t haves what it takes to play basketball at a profesional level, not even here at Puerto Rico. I still remember when Mike Rosario dropped 20 points on him along with Richard Chaney and Donta Smith scoring efficiently, taking that game away from us. If he wants to play in the NBA or even Puerto Rico’s BSN he will have to improve a lot in long and medium range and gain some weight to guard players at his positions because right now the guy can be 6’5 but he looks like if he weighted 99 pounds. He might jump and be fast making him able to block shots from tall players but defense is also make your man miss shots, grab his rebounds and make uncomfortable decisions for other players. These are things he lacks completely, and if ha wants to play at all star level at any league he will need a major improvements on those characteristics.

      i’m a fairly exceptional athlete (just naturally talented in football and track) and i was able to dunk at 12. Though i’m not comparing myself to andrew wiggins or even this guy who are the highest tier of athletes, most of the guys who are athletic in the NBA were throwing it down at 12 or 13. I know guys like Stephens was probably doing it at 11 maybe. Considering he’s tall.

    I don't get why everyone wants every pro basketball player to be well rounded in every aspect, as opposed to people who are AMAZING at one thing, and suck at another. If you had Shaq on your team, would you keep making him shoot 3s?! HELL NO. Teams are not using DJ Stephens optimally.

    • @jarifahmedd
      @jarifahmedd 6 років тому +30

      You can't optimize a dunker into your offense. And there's a fine line between well rounded and a center chucking up 3s like Steph curry.

      Jarif Ahmed Right, so if people claim DJ Stephens can't shoot, why do teams assign him as a shooting guard? And every time you look at prospects for centers or power forwards like Zion Williamson, all you'll hear is how he needs to get a better shot.

      Glenn Xavier Last year here at Puerto Rico he got signed on 2017.
