I been wearing sperical rgp lens for fifty years now, and I am wondering if a front toric lens will improve my visual acuity or correct my cylinder power completely or above 90%. The sperical rgp lens neuatralize my cylinder about 90%. Below are my spectacle rx, "K" readings and some topography readings: OD : 0.25 - 1.25 x 090, K= 42.75/41.50 @ 104, eccent= 0.450, p-value = 0.798, shape factor =0.203, B.C.= 8.15mm and Dia = 9.5, HVID=11.9mm. O.S : 0.25 - 1.75 x 090, " K"= 42.75/41.25@ 094, eccent = 0.450, p-value0.798, shape factor= 0.203, B.C. =8.20mm, dia = 9.5mm, HVID = 11.9mm. Question should I be fitted with a Front Toric RGP to judge the different in visual acuity ? I am looking for a slighly sharper and clearer improvement in visual acuity... Thank you, Jose, can u c ?
Outstanding video! Regarding the last patient, however, with keratoconus; you discarded corneal lenses on the second eye based on too much fluid in the vertical meridian. Wouldn't it be possible to make it quad toric and alter the north and south parts? Or what about adding a reverse curve for some extra vault over the cone... A local PhD in optometry swears to that method, but I've no idea myself. 🤷🏼♂️
My RGP lab has been able to do this for the last 10-15 years...hmm. But don’t waste your time...no profit in this. Better off referring out and keeping your optical capture rate up
Superbly presented and informative. Thank you Dr Kojima
Excellent video - thank you very much, Dr. Kojima.

Where can I find a Contact Fitment office that will have this same process in my area (Philadelphia)?
Checkout customstablelens.com it has a fitter locator on it where you can put in your zip code

How would one order a "topography-derived shape" R.G.P."? It is 2019, and this video was posted in 2013: I have yet to encounter this technology.

@@Maxumized, I've no clue what you mean. Do you work for Valley Contax? If so, how does one go about ordering a topography based R.G.P. base curve?
