The Werner Shogun Carbon Whitewater Kayak Paddle is the ultimate creek and river running paddle. Featuring Werner’s largest Performance Core design, the asymmetrical blades are buoyant, light and balanced. They create a clean catch that is powerful and smooth throughout the entire stroke.
This paddle brings together all of Werner's most advanced designs.
Full carbon blade offers the lightest and strongest lay-up. The foam cores have positive flotation. This helps when rolling and bracing, especially in aerated rapids.
Dihedral power face allows for smooth and stable forward paddling while reducing flutter.
The low-profile back face design with whitewater specific reinforcement channels, allows for a quieter catch and effortless exit of the stroke while maintaining strength.
Dynel edges and Kevlar reinforcement protect the blades from the rigors of whitewater. This banding reduces chipping and splintering as the paddle ages.
Werner's Neutral Bent Shaft is designed to keep the blades, grips, and center of the shaft in a straight line. This provides an ergonomic fit that reduces fatigue and improves balance, comfort and control with better alignment of wrists and arms while maintaining the predictable feel of a straight shaft paddle.
This paddle is available with a bent or Straight shaft in a Standard or Small Diameter, with lengths ranging from 162-to-203 centimeters. Fixed feather angles ranging from 0 to 90 degrees in both left or right hand control.
