    Hey guys. that looks awesome, I will definitely have to try that one. I may have told you before but I am disabled and I live on my own in a small house,where the kitchen is to say the least not set up for large scale cooking. So when I found your channel,well fantastic. Just what I needed small meals in a confined space. Thanks very much,love your videos just what I needed. Treat for Pixel.

    At Christmas we usually go away to the Natural Park of the Sierras de Cazorla, Segura and Las Villas which is the largest nature park in Spain. We rent an apartment to which we can take our two dogs. The cooking facilities are a little limited being only a two burner stove top and a microwave. However we take our Halogen Oven and this enables us to put on a full Christmas dinner with chicken (instead of turkey) stuffing (home-made of course - no packets here), roast potatoes, veg, roasted carrots, parsnips and onions, together with marshmallow and pineapple topped sweet potato. What we do is make a bed of stuffings (Sage and onion & Parsley, thyme and lemon) and bury our chicken pieces in it (this stops them drying out too much and the flavours from the stuffing get absorbed by the meat. We follow this up with Christmas pudding (cooked in a slow cooker) and custard.
    One comment - you missed the cranberry sauce.

      Wow, that sounds like an awesome Christmas Feast! Especially with limited cooking facilities! We are suitably impressed! 😁

    Just a small tip for browning the chicken breasts, push the breast against the side if the pan and that will brown the sides at the same time. (From an Australian Chef.)

    Instead of grating the apple, try dicing it finely and you get more of the bight flavour of the granny smith to off set the blandness of the cabbage. Cheers

    Usually cold meat and salad here...nice and easy...:) Though I live on the sth coast of WA, so sometimes I do a lamb roast Christmas dinner....with all the usual roast veg.
    Your dinner looks yummy…:)

    My vegetarian partner even said that she could eat that (but then said replacing the chicken with quorn fillets) , now there's a challenge, how do you make quorn taste interesting. Apple crumble is my all time favourite pudding so looking forward to you next vlog already.

    • @NarrowboatChef
      @NarrowboatChef  5 років тому

      We quite like a lot of the quorn products too, but we haven’t tried the fillets yet. I love apple crumble too, so easy to make and absolutely delicious! Merry Christmas! 😊🎄

    Don't speak for all Aussies -- we have full on turkey roast in my family on the Sunny Coast, in fact it's a great change from the bbq's and prawns. We just turn the aircon up.!!

      Hi Paul, we are continuous cruisers so our electricity is generated by our engine. Our stove and oven are both gas, so we really don’t need a lot of electricity for cooking 😊
