    Love this idea! But you haven’t had one yet that I didn’t love 😃. These are all beautiful! I wonder if they will work the same way with regular epoxy resin. That UV resin looks amazing, but I don’t have room to add another piece of equipment for my art lol. 💜💜

      You're so kind - yes, you can use regular resin. I just used UV for ease in the video. But either one you choose to use you won't be able to make just one. Good thing the brass blanks are on the cheap side! 😉❤

    wow, they came out beautiful. Can you resin right away or do you have to wait for it to cure? never thought of painting the necklace piece first, good idea to match your paint.

      I'm so sorry - I don't know why I didn't see your comment. Yes, you can resin right away - no need to let anything cure. And you can use UV resin as I did or regular resin. They are addictive! Thank you for commenting! ❤

    Nice!
    What kind of glue did you use to glue the paper to the metal blanks?

      Hi cin - Thanks for the question! I can't remember exactly, but it was probably either Weldbond or Tacky Glue. I wouldn't use something like Elmer's - it's too thin. You want a thicker glue and something that isn't going to make the paper mushy. You also don't want the glue to swell under the paper. A thicker glue - applied sparingly - that's made for metal is what you're looking for. The key is applying it sparingly - it doesn't take much. I think I put a very small drop into the bezel and spread it to the edges with a toothpick. You want to make sure you spread it to the edges - but don't go so far that the glue comes up over the edges of the paper. Does that make sense? If you don't glue the paper to the bezel you risk having the paper move up (elevate) in the bezel and become uneven. Getting the resin under the paper could also turn your paper translucent in some areas. I don't think I gave the glue very long to dry - you don't need to wait for it to cure to move onto drawing on it...as long as you're gentle. It's important to use a pen that is not waterbased - it will run. Using a Pigma Micron or something similar will give you the best results. I really hope this helps! If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to reach out. I'm more than happy to help where I can. :) Have a fantastic day!

    Is the blank bezel used with a clear glass an what was the machine Used can U seal with diamond glaze?

      Hi there - it's done with clear UV resin. I just use a little UV machine intended to cure acrylic nails. You can find them all over Amazon for around $30, and they last forever. You could also seal with Diamond Glaze, yes. They only issue I found using Diamond Glaze over UV resin is that sometimes the DG would pull at the edges and kind of "pucker" - it wound up working on some and not others and I couldn't figure out why. That's why I recommend UV resin over DG - UV resin cures in about 30-60 seconds so there's less chance of something getting in it while it cures (dust, stray dog hair, etc), and I like instant gratification. Altho I love DG, I hate waiting for it to cure. I want it NOW! lol I hope that answers your questions. Thanks for watching! 😊

    How long does it have to cure under the UV light?

    • @SargentBubblescom
      @SargentBubblescom  Рік тому +1

      Only about 60 seconds. It's so much faster than regular resin!
