Stuttering John is a retard in every sense of the word but this is what it is. They HAD to be out of there. He shouldn’t have been illegally subletting but thousands of people do it…some get caught, some don’t. He got caught so they have to leave, even if it means crashing on friends’ couches for a while
Those eviction laws Gange was referring to where you can't just kick people out on a whim were made for situations like this. John was taking advantage of them and screwing over the land lord. They were made to protect people from unscrupulous people like John.
Exactly. John was subletting out his cheap lease to his underlings for profit. It's somewhat clever, but probably one of the scummiest moves you could make.

They had an apartment close to work for a price they could not get without John. Yes he was making money, but they knew that when they moved in. Or should have. They agreed to leave and didn't. John is always scummy, but grillo and gange are also scummy.
John was illegally subleasing his apartment to them. He wasn’t doing any favors, he was pimping out his apartment.
... and, this was Jackie's old apartment that he "gave" to Muttering John. Instead of John handing it over to someone when he no longer needed it? He tried to make a fast buck off his friends.

That impression actually started when Gange had a really bad cold and sounded like that. Then it just stuck
Keep in mind this apt was a complete shithole. The damn shower/tub and living room and kitchen were all in one room. The sink pipe didnt work properly so they had a plastic container underneath to contain the leaky water.
There was also what appeared to be jackie’s junk still being stored there and i think it was like 6 flights up, no elevator. 😂😂

If you are renting an apartment illegally, you literally need to live with your bags packed. Because it could end at any time without any type of notice. Its not a fun way to live but thats what retards in the bigger cities do to save money on rent and to work their jobs they get paid peanuts at.
Everyone involved in these situations are to blame, from the owner of the apartment on down.
@@jennpenn5 John was totally wrong in this situation. He took advantage of them, didn't get any agreements or signatures down on paper, didn't even give them proper notice. Either he was deliberately screwing Grillo and Gange or he's just a short-sighted idiot who entered into this situation without considering all the obvious ways it could backfire on him. He's a slimy narcissist and you probably are too if you agree with him.

John is asking them to leave rather than turning lease over to them because John doesn't want them to know What he was Paying compared to What he's Charging them. Image the on air conversation that would be if John was exposed that he was ripping off intern's from the show

Grillo wasn't making anything...I:m not sure about Gange here...(His rich parents were probably sending him an allowance)...But Grillo wasn't making anything.. I'm surprised they didn't all turn this around on John, But who knows....

Once someone establishes residence with a physical address, it's very difficult to get that person to leave the residence. Squatters have rights by law, and it will take court action to get them out! Been there, done that with so-called roommate. Even with sub-leasing!
Gange is actually right about the squater laws. There are nightmare scenarios where people have been trapped with roommates they can't get rid of.
Grillo was destined to be a loser. This clip sums up his existence perfectly.
The thing is they actually do have rights in this situation- this is why landlords don't allow subleases
Rights from whom? The landlord has no business with anybody but the man they signed the lease with (John). John has rights for being a tenant and having his name on his copy of the lease. John is also responsible for illegally violating his lease. Grillo and Gange would have “rights” if they had signed legal documents with John or the landlord. They did not. John is a scumbag for illegally violating his lease and Gange and Grillo are like thieves breaking into a car and then complaining that the glass was too sharp on the broken car window and they now are going to sue! They’re nincompoops. Why on Earth would you move in somewhere where you have zero rights… oh it’s because Wiggy refused to pay them and they were desperate. I remember now. 😂

@@quiksix25 What do you mean? I must not understand. Explain it. As far as I’m aware… the leases I have signed in my life. They of course vary from state to state or even city to city but many apartment complexes across the Nation just use a standard Lease Template. They’re fairly standardized as far as I have seen. Anyway, there’s specific wordage in those leases about who will be “living” in that leased space and what the definition of living is etc etc… difference between a “guest” (who might be allowed 20 consecutive days of stay per year or whatever) and a resident etc. they are very wordy legal documents. Dozens and dozens of pages. If John brought in people to live with him in the space. That is perfectly fine. But John would have had to have made the landlord aware and also added them to the leases which would have required their signatures/agreement/understanding. John never did that. Grillo and Gange said as much. They had no agreement (especially a legally binding agreement) with anyone. Especially the landlord who “discovered” they were residing there. Hence why Grillo and Gange were really getting screwed by John here. They weren’t supposed to be there in the first place because John never put them on the lease. That’s my understanding. Please correct me. 🙏

I'm not sure the state that this is in but IOWA state law is if you let someone live with you they do NOT have to be on any lease or pay any money but the have been given residency and do NOT have to leave the only way is to evict them.

The truth is if you grew up in NYC renting illegal sublets of rent controlled apts was quite common at this time. If you get into this situation, you have to know your living arrangements are precarious. Many friends of mine were in both positions; renters and lease holders. I think SJ is scum but Gange and Grillo should have done what tons of New Yorkers have done and leave when asked
