To all of those people asking what to do if they are black, it doesn’t matter. You can still have an undertone. Just keep in mind that just because you’re black, you may not always have a warm undertone as it seems as though at first thought.
Yess add on to this, if you are black or darker skinned, try to identify do you look more cool tones as in grey ish or blue ish? Or warm tone yellow, red or orange ish. As an Indian I have like 500 diff shades on my face so it becomes a struggle to clearly see my skin tone 😂😂
I'm a dark skinned black woman and I have cool undertones. You're right, it's often assumed we're all warm because our skin is brown, even though warm and cool versions of browns have always existed.
Side note: The face one might not apply to you if you are very fair/pale. Lots of pale people have a natural "flush" to their face/other parts of their body, so it will look pink (aka "cool toned") in those areas even if the rest of the body is actually a different undertone. Myself for example: I'm very pale and I have a flush to my face but I'm actually neutral skin toned/leaning slightly warm everywhere else. So if you're like me I wouldn't use my face as a factor towards undertone and instead use your wrists or something. I know she said both = neutral but I'm more so talking about if your /whole/ face is flushed that doesn't necessarily mean you are cool toned.

tbh my veins aren’t that clear it looks more turquoise and my mum has always told me that both silver and gold look fine on me, however none of them look amazing or make me stand out

You're pretty much an olive toned person with cool undertones. I had the same problem once but the moment I noticed cooler colors/silver jewelry looked better on me, I knew I was cool toned despite having a neutral skin tone like olive.

Check your veins (on the inside of ur wrist) if your veins are blue then its cool, greenish then its warm, and if its sort of a mix then neautral
